Just fantasy world economics. Set the pension age at 60 and most people in 2020s UK will willingly work beyond that but also be entitled to a state pension pay out and reciprocal benefits that come down the line? Then other working age people have to pay for it.
The retirement age should be lower. As a rule we all work too many hours for too many years.
