Years ago, I argued that narratives are not just stories but ledgers—tracking the reputational “transactions” of individuals and groups. Like blockchains, they are almost impossible to rewrite. Once a narrative is cemented, facts alone rarely dislodge it. Why? Because the…
Social narratives act like blockchains—immutable ledgers of reputational wins and losses. That’s why they’re so hard to overturn. Over time, I’ve come to see this also explains our urge to scapegoat and retell history as the rise or fall of people, not ideas.
Imagine being Ok with the Police doing this.
Despite posts yesterday highlighting issues of people still visiting the #PeakDistrict despite government guidance, the message is still not getting through. @DerPolDroneUnit have been out at beauty spots across the county, and this footage was captured at #CurbarEdge last night.
In times of war, anyone without a sound moral foundation see an opportunity to engage in carpet and scumbaggery. 2020 was no different, and with a populace removed from it's roots we saw a massive moral failure from friends, neighbours and family.
The bottom line is that the plandemic nonsense gained traction because every government wanted to cover up the sordid truth: it was THE OPPOSITE of a coordinated event. It was a BREAKDOWN of cooperation, a WAR. Governments accepted civilian harms in an attempt to win the war.
Money is a record of who controls how much purchasing power in an economy. An untamperable, apolitical record is far better than a political, manipulated one.
Yet more evidence that increases in the burden of capital gains tax (CGT) reduce revenue. CGT receipts fell 18% from the 22-23 year to £12.1bn in the 23-24 year, even as the annual tax-free allowance was halved from £12.3k to £6k CGT receipts in 24-25 dropped a further 10% 1/3
this is why so many young people are blackpilled on capitalism it's because what we have now isn't a free market. nor is it fair. it's a rigged game.
the problem isn't capitalism, it's MMT stonks go up because printer go brrr. then people (who are already rich) get richer and think it's because of "muh investing GENIUS" when really they are riding the wave of $$ debasement When they do QE, it's not for the middle class 🚨
I think this is the “don’t f@@king dance” bitcoin cycle. Retail/the general public aren’t interested. Maybe they think they missed it or still think it’s a scam. They do this whilst (rightly) complaining repeatedly about the problems fiat money causes and that bitcoin fixes.
74% of Americans wanted a national shutdown in the third week of March 2020. Lower than the 93% of the worst generation in British history. But still a sizeable proportion of people behaving like rabid communist maniacs. Has anyone apologised yet?
the Trump administration has shut down the possibility, but Americans want a national shutdown. new on @MorningConsult: morningconsult.com/2020/03/25/cor…
i suspect the fatal mistake that weaponized the midwits was educating them. university used to be for the top 3-5% of intellects, a serious and seriously difficult undertaking suitable for and completable by only a very small group of people whose IQ cutoff was likely around…
People with IQs of 110-115 are even more dangerous in large groups. They come up with utopian schemes that are incompatible with human instinct, or the principles of economics, or even the laws of thermodynamics. And then they try to proselytize them, talking about how great…
10 more bars closing... The hospitality sector is under attack by Labour: - Rising taxes - More bureaucracy - High energy costs - Squeeze of customer wages They are destroying entire industries. Labour must be removed from power.
🚨| BREAKING: BrewDog is closing 10 bars across the UK, with staff reportedly given "three days' notice". Unite Hospitality: "In what universe is 3 DAYS a morally (or legally) acceptable notice period for a proper redundancy consultation for the workers impacted?!"
This is starting to feel like classic Behavioural Insights Team work. Let me explain why. Because once you see the pattern, you can’t unsee it. 🧵
Oh no.... Not again. No one expected this. Apart from literally all of us.
