Building near-zero energy chips @VaireHQ. Reversible computing, semiconductors, AI, and the future of computing.
Anyway, here's WW3 (or how to make sure the South-Asian subcontinent will not express any opinions about Taiwan or they will discover the dam will close "for maintenance")

“The UK government is forecasting a technological event on the scale of the steam engine, then responding as if it were a smartphone upgrade.” Great piece
It's trendy for politicians to show off extremely short timelines. In the UK, this is especially curious given (a) the Secretary of State for technology is one of them and (b) with a few notable exceptions, the UK is behaving as if AGI is centuries away Link below 🇬🇧
I respect @bgurley a lot but think there’s a nuance here. I agree on the starting observation: VC funds have become megafunds. And have started treating early-stage investing like optionality. But this assumes founders will inevitably take the mega-check if offered. Many of the…
My $0.02. A mega-VC with $5-10B annual funds is really searching for only one thing: a company they can pile over $1b into with a potential for 5-10X on the $1b. With this, seed fund is inconsequential money used to increase the odds of main objective. You are collateral damage.
This is a great idea. The lottery is a profoundly unjust system, but also not the best allocation of what the economy needs?
Finally: The H-1B lottery is going to be replaced with something more valuable, like seniority ranking or compensation ranking.
Maverick couldn’t say who the mysterious magic enemy was. We need to go back.
New: Palantir's CTO and several early employees are raising money to launch Founders Films, a film and TV production studio that aims to "say yes to projects about American exceptionalism, name America’s enemies, back artists unconditionally, take risk on novel IP.”
"Brutalist HQ of a fascist supervillain" is def a worthy housing goal
All that money and your house doesn’t even look like the brutalist HQ of a fascist supervillain

This is a big market @mattwichrowski
This is a very important graph. AI infra Capex is at ~1%+ of GDP, which is the same peak level as the 5G telecom frenzy in 2020. Railroads were much larger in the late 1800s, but that infra lasts a century or more. AI datacenter Capex needs continuous replenishment. This…

A few months ago I did a marketing head to head between @anduriltech and @HelsingAI. For my latest post I'm returning to the theme, but looking at a wider set of DefenceTech companies. (Link in replies)
What an incredible picture and achievement

Nvidia is in the midst of an incredible compute paradigm shift that is a ramp unprecedented in history, yet the vast majority of mainstream media is completely missing the story. $7 billion to $44 billion in 8 quarters.
Full @CNBC interview with my latest thoughts on Nvidia $5 trillion, why is AI underhyped and the importance of Jensen's leather jacket indicator at the White House. Thank you @KellyCNBC for having me on again.
