Recalled to life
We won! Thanks to everyone.
Judgment has been handed down this morning in the matter of R (Respondent) v Hayes (Appellant); R (Respondent) v Palombo (Appellant) UKSC 2024/0087; UKSC 2024/0088: supremecourt.uk/cases/uksc-202….
So today it sort of hit and I broke down in tears. My little sister wrote to me every week in prison. I saved every letter. This morning I opened another letter from her. A final letter, ending shown below. Those letters were so important to me and a great way to close a chapter.

I fought this from my prison cell with pen and paper only. They wanted to ban me to protect the financial markets even though I was in a high security prison at the time!I managed to get it stayed and now it’s discontinued. Finally!

“There is no judge who could find someone guilty three times before the trial starts” WRONG. My trial judge Jeremy Cooke did exactly that to me and ruled that he needn’t be recused!

As the Court observed at the outset of the judgment: “The history of these two cases raises concerns about the effectiveness of the criminal appeal system in England and Wales in confronting legal error”. Read more here: lnkd.in/e5RURpMG
The Supreme Court has found that directions given at his trial were “legally inaccurate & unfair”, a proposition consistently “rebuffed” by the Court of Appeal over the last 10 years.
My legal heroes and @karentodner . I fought Adrian over the arguments to run fortunately he prevailed!
The Supreme Court has overturned Tom Hayes’ 2015 conviction for conspiracy to defraud over LIBOR submissions. Adrian Darbishire KC and Tom Doble of QEB Hollis Whiteman represented Hayes in one of the most significant criminal appeals of the last decade.
Taking some nieces and nephews to the @QPR_DS game against Winchester City. Nice to get a beer at the game.

Another sham political conviction overseen by a kangaroo court and pushed by over zealous DoJ goes. The supposed huge FX “manipulations” have zero convictions.Hopefully Libor is next. HSBC executive's fraud conviction voided by US appeals court | Reuters reuters.com/legal/governme…
Decision time! After 13 years of litigation. I’m super nervous but optimistic and excited! Thanks again to all those that got us here , counsel from @QEBHW and @karentodner , friends who supported me and all the strangers who helped selflessly. Whatever the outcome thank you.
Judgment will be handed down on Wednesday 23 July in the matters of R v Hayes (Appellant) and R v Palombo (Appellant) UKSC 2024/0087 & UKSC 2024/0088: supremecourt.uk/cases/uksc-202…
I fully appreciate this. The desire to be invisible….
When I first got out of prison and fully entered the public eye, I wanted to disappear. I wanted to be featureless, shapeless, blurred like a poorly pixelated background NPC. Desire made me a target, or at least that was the message I had internalized.
No disrespect to @LFC who were great too, but one of the saddest things in football was that @QPR didn’t win the League title in 1975/6. They were a superbly entertaining team full of skilful players (Bowles, Francis, Thomas, Masson) , and were robbed in that late defeat at…
One of my favourite restaurants @MargotLDN has been taxed out of existence. Always busy and employing a large number of staff who will now be without jobs. The false economy of thinking business can bear unlimited burdens. This is the government’s growth agenda. 😞

Behind claims by Tom Hayes and Carlo Palombo that they were wrongly jailed is a deeper scandal stretching back to 2007. Click on the links and you’ll see and hear evidence, covered up for years, of pressure to rig interest rates from central banks and governments….

Nobody gets a life sentence for murder circumstantially, you have to be fitted up to some degree. Prison probation officers keep you there until you admit your crime. There’s a lot inside well past tariff because they won’t bend. independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/…
Love it when people at work ask on Monday "did you have a good weekend??" Mate, I'm 50 years old. I went to Asda, sat in my garden with a brew and then did some ironing. I know it's sad, but this is actually a good weekend for me.
Final 12 games of the season and only 4 involve both teams with nothing left to play for. I’ll still be in Sunderland. Chance to say goodbye to a few players who won’t be with QPR next season and Marti obviously. Personally think he didn’t choose to leave but what do I know.
Great day at the Francis Crick Institute @CrickLab listening to Falsely Accused Justice by Genomics. Kathleen Folbigg spoke and was inspirational. Wrongfully convicted of murdering her 4 children she spent 20yrs in prison 14 of which were in protection.Amazing science to free her
