Late but deserved congrats to @SchulichMedDent Class of ‘25 for bringing home the Tachy Cup. Amazing shows by every class!!! @JohnYooMD and Dr. Venance impressions were IT for me 😊

Trauma Family Feud @TACTraumaCanada !! Big win for Family East, but the West side wants a rematch in 2026!! #TAC2025

Love the casting by President Rao @TACTraumaCanada, but it feels like a weird way to tell me he’s kicking me off the board next year 😬🫣🫰 #TAC2025

Incredible Harvey Club dinner, hosting a lifelong mentor of mine, Dr. Bill Wall, speaking about his mentor, Sir Roy Calne, a founding father of transplantation. Special stuff.

Exciting to hear visiting prof Morgan Schellenberg talk about trauma verification @LHSCCanada. Tough mission, but could be most positive change in trauma care in our region that I can remember 🤞 @AmCollSurgeons

Mandatory Elliott selfie! Love seeing my old boss. Didn’t love when he reminded me it’s been 10 years since I was his fellow 😬 @elliotthaut @AmCollSurgeons @MarcieFeinman

General Surgery Review Course…took it here w all the other PGY5’s in 2011 but the audience in 2024 seems to be all mid/late career surgeons…including this one 😖#ACSCC24 @AmCollSurgeons

A cool topic, a great article, and a tricky one to comment on! Hope we did the paper justice. Will try to keep my head down for flying 🍅 from folks on either side of the great REBOA debate!
REBOA-UK critical appraisal with guest skeptic @rob_leeper thesgem.com/2024/06/sgem44… #EBM #FOAMed @JAMA_current
Mildly star struck and highly excited to discuss the #UKREBOA trial with @janjansenuk. Feel like we should review this sometime soon with @TheSGEM 😃

FAST probably seemed crazy too when Dr. Rozycki first described it. TEE for resus has been a game changer for us. Well presented by @ewwalser and well moderated by @Anikoul

Community hospitals save the lives of injured patients! Great work presented by Dr. Chaulk on the importance of damage control laparotomy at rural/referring centers @TACTraumaCanada!

Once a year I go back to my old high school and teach a class on “life in medicine”. The kids always seem to enjoy it, they have no idea how much more I get out of it than they do 🤗 @MrsLeeper_tvdsb might recognize the intubator in the first photo, which was a bonus this year

Thanks for an awesome time, @DocsOnIce2024! Amazing event, raised money for a great cause, and had a ton of fun. Already excited for next year.

Congrats to @BradleyNori on becoming the Region 11 Chair for the @acstrauma. Western Canada’s trauma education, advocacy, and leadership are in great hands! #International_Womens_Day #QueenInTheWest ⚔️🐺👑⚔️

Doing MORE trauma neurosurgery is GOOD for patients. Love studies that confirm my biases;) Well presented by @tdazad and clearly well supervised by @elliotthaut and @DctrJByrne #ACSCOT2024

“If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two imposter just the same;” Kipling was right, of course. In one we find the other, and vice versa. Great rounds today @LHSCCanada. Shared with grateful patient’s permission. @J_Landau @DerekWCool @wpuentesb

Finding new ways to improve our system every time we run our in-situ trauma simulations. 👏 for @Anikoul & @kellynvogt and so many others for making this a regular part of practice @LHSCCanada @western_gensurg
