100 days until Halloween. And with that, a cold breeze filled the air... 🎃🍂
Today is the feast day of Mary Magdalene. This is said to be her skull, which was discovered by the monks of Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume in 1279. It's kept under a glass dome in a golden reliquary in the crypt of a Gothic basilica dedicated to the saint in Southern France.

Who else owned – or still owns – this spooky classic? 👻 First published in 1983, the yellow and red cover features the Screaming Skull of Bettiscombe Manor in Dorset and the good old Amityville Horror house. “The World’s Greatest Ghosts” indeed — it terrified a generation! 👻
