Outside the Magna Carta PH, Exchequer Gate, Lincoln. The castle walls are behind. I thought the lighting gave the scene a nice atmosphere.

Myriad tiny Thalictrum #flowers; like unpopping the cork. #MagentaMonday

Spotted at height on adjacent walls on High Petergate, #York. I can only think they are fire insurance certificates. Always remember to look up occasionally 🙂!

The door furniture raises a nice door into an #AdoorableThursday door. Micklegate, York.

Another shot of the very beautiful chapter house in Southwell minster #tracerytuesday
A normal size Brontosaurus photographed 146 million years ago next to the largest oak tree to ever exist. In fact so tall it used to trip up pterodactyls
The simply wonderful seed head of a Field Scabious #FlowersOnX, the geometry of which appeals to my need for order, that is, beautiful order.

Holy Trinity Church, Goodramgate, York.. earlier today. @TheCCT
Wishing everyone a peaceful weekend. Storms are brewing so stay safe and cosy. A Sunday on an armchair with tea and a book beckons. If you like a gentle listen to something before sleep, do give this evening’s episode a go. 🕯️ buzzsprout.com/2412300/episod…
Impressions of Askham Bog and environs this morning... while the Sun 🌞 lasts.

Having the house to myself last night I availed myself of the chance to catch up with this wonderful podcast from @GretelleMaitre. Popped the kettle on, made a brew of (Yorkshire) tea 🫖, then delighted by a whole chapter from The Woodlanders. podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/gre…
Looking across the River Wharfe at St. Mary's #Church, Tadcaster. The buddleia is swarming with butterflies 🦋

After rebuilds in 1839 and again in 1849 only the base of the tower remains of the original C12 All Saints #Church, Newton-on-Ouse. There is still much to like about this building, notably the timber ceiling, the music playing angels, and the eye-catching 150ft #steeplesaturday

Roses unfurl to a fleeting moment of perfection... and in the same moment dissolve to chaos. #flowersonfriday

Trees, flowers, tapirs and hornbills @LothertonHall One of my favourite places.

It's a good job I wasn't a leopard 🐆... or anything like that. A deer 🦌 caught by surprise at Askham Bog.
A lovely day to stroll around the gardens @RHSHarlowCarr

Stairways to Heaven...or the bell 🔔 tower via the kitchen. All Saints #Church Newton-on-Ouse

The quick and the dead... always together. #thicktrunktuesday
