This is very irresponsible to give false promises like that to a millions of patients. If you are familiar with the complexity of the human diseases you know it's not possible. #unpopularopinion

Oh look Study of over a million...yes one MILLION kids shows aluminium in vaccines have NO link to autism or anything else It won't bother @SecKennedy because he only deals in anti vaccine "vibes" and not science or data
Danish whole of population retrospective cohort study of > 1 million infants finds no association between aluminium in vaccines & 50 disorders including allergy & autism One of many studies showing no association @MartinKulldorff @RobertKennedyJr acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/AN…
No thanks, auto-correct. I'm quite sure that's not what I mean because that's not a word that exists.

I will soon be posting a postdoc position in protein biochemistry/biophyics! Interested candidates are welcome to reach out at [email protected]. Experience in protein expression, purification, and assay development is a must. Structural biology would be great! Please RT :)
Europe’s choice is clear. To put science at the heart of its economy. To become the home of scientific freedom and collaboration. And to welcome talent from all over the world. I’m glad to present the first elements of our Choose Europe Initiative ↓
Health experts are concerned about this because it will require not vaccinating the kids in the control group with existing vaccines, increasing the chance that they will catch preventable diseases.
Happy to see our review out in @ChemBioChem in which we describe the tools and strategies for deciphering linkage type-specific #ubiquitin signalling: doi.org/10.1002/cbic.2…. Thanks to Julian for spearheading this, and to @CamillaElb and Dominik for important contributions.
I'd go even harder: Scientific discovery is a creative endeavor that will *not* be replaced by AI. There's a lot of talk about AI "solving" science -- that AI will answer science questions and direct robots to do experiments. But that's not the HARD part of science. 1/4
Derek Lowe is right that Demis Hassabis is wrong - there is no chance of curing all disease within the decade. Even if we had AGI now, we wouldn't do it. We lack the basic knowledge and need to keep doing experiments. science.org/content/blog-p…
Disappointing from @demishassabis. This kind of blind AI optimism forgets the importance of collecting data to feed AI (which would probably take 10 years on its own!), & doing the trials to see if the AI-developed drugs work (5 more years, even if we test them all in parallel).
On @60Minutes, @demishassabis w/@ScottPelley on the potential for A.I. vs diseases cbsnews.com/news/artificia… "I think that's within reach. Maybe within the next decade or so, I don't see why not."

This is ludicrous hyperbole. Biology, including disease biology and pathogenesis, is outrageously complex. We don't even understand the fundamental biology that causes most diseases. Can AI help us along the way? Probably. We'll see. But don't fall for this.

We tested a pre-release version of o3 and found that it frequently fabricates actions it never took, and then elaborately justifies these actions when confronted. We were surprised, so we dug deeper 🔎🧵(1/) x.com/OpenAI/status/…

It is very hard to deal with this. Here is a USA senator saying that the people of Greenland are "all in on it". The leader of Greenland viciously says no. Every single member of the Greenlandic parliament says no. They just had an election two weeks ago. No one who wants to be…
