@ralexstokes
the world is ready for the world computer. ethereum.
ethereum is first and foremost a cultural project, we just happen to use software for the leverage
We made progress on Glamsterdam scoping today by narrowing the set of CL headliners to one of these three. If you have additional input for/against one of these proposals, please add here: ethereum-magicians.org/t/soliciting-s… (n.b. the 6 sec slots EIP is 7782)
Three EIPs were CFI'd for Glamsterdam today: - EIP 7732, ePBS - EIP 7783, six-second slot times - EIP 7805, FOCIL The plan is to reach a decision on which of these to SFI on the next ACDC call in two weeks.
important message from phil here! we will be making a big decision about the scope of the glamsterdam hard fork via ACD soon. please take some time to review the proposals and add your input if something resonates with you
We're in Glamsterdam headliner scoping phase! See: forkcast.org/upgrade/glamst…. 🚨 This is a callout and a warning to the Ethereum community that decisions will be made *within the next few weeks on the next impactful feature/change to Ethereum.* 👇
reminder: call tomorrow to talk about changes in fusaka and impact of ePBS (candidate for glamsterdam) on MEV ecosystem
mev-boost community call #13 tomorrow 3pm UTC! - updates on Fusaka changes (getPayload V2, etc) - discussion on relay DA possibilities - ePBS (EIP-7732) and impact on builders/relays pbsfoundation.notion.site/MEV-Boost-Comm… hosted w/ @ralexstokes & mev-boost core contributors! 💫
so what do we do when there's a huge increase in code generated by AI? do we turn around and use AI to review all of the code?
stablecoin micropayments and AI agents seem to go well together (e.g. more flexible "pay per token" schemes, or allowing agents to make transactions for you)
exciting changes to @ethereumfndn ecosystem teams to streamline real world acceleration take a look!
Big changes are coming to @EthereumFndn’s ecosystem development cluster to support real-world adoption. Here’s what’s changing and why it matters🧵
As of today, all Ethereum execution clients support history pruning for pre-merge data. For mainnet, this means 300-500 GB less disk space required to operate a node. Learn more about what this means and how to take advantage the new functionality: blog.ethereum.org
Fusaka will happen this year and enable the L2s to further scale. Blobs will stay the same on launch, and with pre scheduled blob only forks they will go up to 48 hopefully around Q1'26. We will keep measuring and see how high we can go, tools are there, just reps now.
pectra has activated on mainnet and the transition epoch has been finalized congrats to everyone who worked so hard on this upgrade, and i'm excited for all the new functionality pectra brings
pectra incoming!
Last call to update your nodes for Pectra 🤖 The upgrade goes live at 10:05 UTC on May 7 ⏰ You can follow along as it happens here: youtube.com/live/NbxaCZYtW… 📺
