It’s been more than a week since the Osage Nation won a massive, massive victory in federal court, with US District Court Judge Jennifer Choe-Graves ruling that @EnelGroup must pay $36M in damages and attorney fees & remove 84 wind turbines in Osage Cty by next December at a cost…

"We project that 2GW and 5GW data centers will be needed to develop single advanced AI models for Anthropic in 2027 and 2028, respectively. With several other U.S. companies developing frontier AI models, we expect total frontier AI training demands in America to reach 20-25GW in…
New Anthropic report: Build AI in America. We outline what it will take to ensure America has the energy and infrastructure it needs to maintain its leadership in AI.
Climate NGOs and legacy media outlets focus obsessively on solar and wind energy. But since 2011, the global growth story has been natural gas, and it's not even close. My latest, on another platform:

The Iberian blackout demonstrated the importance of voltage control and reactive power, but these concepts are poorly understood even by people within the electricity sector In this two-part series of posts I will look at voltage, active power and reactive power in power grids…
And more opposition to wind & solar. Ohio is one of the epicenters of the backlash against alt-energy. I am going to add these latest rejections to the Renewable Rejection Database. The numbers just keep rising. richlandsource.com/2025/07/17/lar…
The independent market monitor for the largest regional power grid in America finds that AI data centers are causing big power price increases: "Customers are already bearing billions of dollars in higher costs as a direct result of existing and forecast data center load."
We have 32 GW wind turbines connected to the grid That's 32,000 MW Last night actual generation fell to 214 MW That's 0.67% of installed capacity What's the point?? Chart from Elexon (BMRS) @Ed_Miliband @Keir_Starmer @ClaireCoutinho @AndrewBowie_MP @NJ_Timothy…
Interesting fact from @pwrhungry: Since 2004, about $5.4 trillion has been spent on solar and wind, and yet they are still only providing 3% of the world’s primary energy.
.@pwrhungry rightly notes the idiocy of pursuing the green religion, while others do not.

This is not surprising at all. Rural people all over the world are rejecting wind and solar projects, including > two dozen rejections or restrictions in the U.K./Scotland/Ireland since 1 Jan 2025.
It's taken too long, but public support for green grift is finally coming to an end. People are finally working out that if renewables are so cheap then bills should be falling, not rising as we get more wind and solar.
BREAKING: GE Vernova will pay the town of Nantucket and island businesses $10.5 million as part of a settlement related to the offshore wind turbine blade failure in July 2024 at the Vineyard Wind farm.
Worried the OBBBA is too easy on wind/solar developers? Take note: @realDonaldTrump just issued this E.O. cracking down on developers gaming the system by making questionable claims of "begin construction". @windaction @pwrhungry @shellenberger 🔗 whitehouse.gov/presidential-a…
How can America break its reliance on China for the rare earth minerals that make modern life possible? @pwrhungry joined @oren_cass on The @AmerCompass Podcast to discuss.
An American expert has blasted Australia’s energy policy. Robert Bryce has slammed our race to Net Zero, declaring we’re an “energy superpower acting like an energy weakling.” MORE: 2gb.com/weak-and-crazy…
There are loads of bullish takes on copper demand due to the "energy transition." Further, there's no doubt that Cu consumption and economic growth go hand in hand and new mines are years away from coming online. But the copper story is also largely about China. My latest:

This moment from the Energy Imperatives Summit last month was a career highlight for me. Having the Secretary of Energy recognize me by voice and then tell an audience of friends and peers he likes my work floored me. I even got to meet @SecretaryWright after this!
