At Applebee’s you can get a chicken salad for $13.59, and on Tuesdays you can get a kid’s meal for $1.99 with the purchase of an adult entree. So with tax and tip, maybe $21 total. Maybe the answer is that they get by in this economy by going to Applebee’s on Tuesdays.
