just found out that there is a comic book villain called Darkseid who rules a planet called Apokolips where towns are called Armaghettos and he wants to enslave everyone using the Anti-Life Equation this is amazing
If Gunn decides to bring in Darkseid, I hope he has the sense to watch the TimmVerse version (or read Kirby) to understand how to truly portray the character, and not make him a big stupid brawler.
I think it’s because he wouldn’t let the corporations chain him to a desk and he says things about superhero books which hurts people’s feelings. Dude seems to be living his best life from all accounts.

I was 15 years old when the first issue came out. It was an event for me. As years go on, I saw so many creators took the wrong cues from the work. Missing the point with such predictable results.

Overhated for sure. It was a solid entry into the MCU and addressed exactly the toll of being a “hero” takes on a person. Plus, it had some very whip-smart dialogue.

I see “Writer vs Artist” in the comic creation debate going around. IMO, writers who have some background in art are better writers. For example, Alan Moore, Frank Miller, Howard Chaykin, Brubaker, Hickman, Simonson. They understand the real estate of the page.
