Unbelievable interview with Israeli Government Spokersperson on @BBCr4today. Forced starvation is a crime against humanity. Wilful denial. Atrocities happening in Gaza cast a large shadow over the world.
Extraordinary interview on R4 just now with a spokesman from Netanyahu’s government. Delusional, indefensible, and frankly, very, very rude. Fair play to Nick Robinson for maintaining a professional calm in the face of the horrors we see on our screens.
Absolutely car-crash interview on @BBCr4today from the Israeli ambassador. @bbcnickrobinson displaying the patience of a saint.
Really good to hear.
The newly appointed Chancellor of Cambridge University says he wants to 'protect and defend' academic freedom and freedom of speech. Lord Smith tells #R4Today that if students disagree with someone, they should 'go along and listen' and start a discussion.
The genocide in Gaza will only end when the international community comes together with one strong, united voice and says enough to the horrific actions of the Israeli government. The record will show who stood up and spoke out. The international community must act now.

A classy concession.

Our powerful @Daily_Express front page for tomorrow. The brutal suffering in Gaza must end. The shocking image shows Muhammad Zakariya Ayyoub al-Matouq, one, who weighs the same as three-month old baby due to the humanitarian crisis following the continued blocking of basic aid…

.@bbclaurak’s interview of Farage yesterday was thoroughly impressive. Farage had all the bluster of a snake oil salesman. He hates scrutiny.
What an unedifying process this has been (and polls have only just opened). I do hope there will be an appropriate process of reflection about the role of and electoral process for the @Cambridge_Uni Chancellorship in due course.
I'm sure all candidates in the election for Chancellor of @Cambridge_Uni will agree that win or lose, we must play by the rules Not having oversight of your own campaign doesn't bode well for ensuring University Officers perform their duties varsity.co.uk/news/29929…
As someone who could not possibly have undertaken a PhD without funding, the AHRC scholarship I received (many years ago) was life-changing. I find it incredibly concerning that the the next generation of prospective academics are being denied such opportunities.
The number of student-initiated PhD scholarships funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council is set to fall by 60 per cent when new doctoral training arrangements come into effect next year, new figures show. @jgro_the reports timeshighereducation.com/news/student-l…
