🚨Breaking news: Bretton Water Park due to open tomorrow (22nd) Thanks to Cllr Alison Jones & Bretton councillors for keeping on the case. We’ve had too many delays & failures in recent years. The important point now is we ensure it stays open & maintained well.

This is a harrowing thread. There is no peace based on forced starvation of innocent civilians. There is no end to this hell for Gazans or for hostages without an end to this indiscriminate bloodshed.

Malak has been accepted for a place at Cambridge University. She has a full scholarship. But she is trapped in Gaza unable to apply for her visa. Glad to speak to Channel 4 News about work to cut the red tape blocking students like Malak. Let’s get this done.

Great to see everyone working together on the Tiger Pass today. A compromise agreed on Mayor’s original plan - Tiger Pass extended until start of April & lower fares protected until end October. This shows benefits of collaboration. Let’s now find a permanent solution.

Good to talk to @BBCCambs about protecting the Tiger Pass. Today’s Combined Authority Board meeting has a choice to protect the Tiger Pass & keep other bus fares low for longer. No costs need to go up today. I hope the Mayor & board work together to take this opportunity.

Our water system is broken - higher bills, bigger bonuses, more pollution. I’ve welcomed the Government’s reforms. But will keep the pressure up on water companies and for infrastructure we desperately need in the East like the Fens Reservoir.

I’ve raised Malak’s case in the House of Commons. These are young, determined students with places at British universities. Red tape should not stop them studying.

A great way to start the week planting a tree at Perkins to celebrate the centenary of Caterpillar. This is world class engineering on our doorstep in Peterborough. A local, global powerhouse. Thanks to the team, especially the apprentices, for such an enjoyable day.
