🚨BREAKING🚨 PENN POLICE RAID PRO-PALESTINE STUDENTS’ HOME On Friday, October 18th at 6am, 12 Penn Police officers and one PPD officer raided the home of pro-Palestine student organizers in full tactical gear and pointed rifles and handguns at the students.

I was horrified to learn that Penn Police violently raided the home of pro-Palestinian student organizers early Friday morning, as they were sleeping. It is unacceptable that officers armed with tactical gear and assault rifles threatened the safety of unarmed young people.
Remember that Biden laid the groundwork for the Trump regime by facilitating the violent repression of student organizing. The neoliberal university, a microcosm of American empire, has never been a “safe space”.
Students are wondering how they are supposed to feel safe on campus knowing that the school administration was willing to call in the police to do this to them:
Reminder that Jeffrey Goldberg left Penn early to be a prison guard for the IOF. His role at the Atlantic has played into the broader narrative of manufacturing consent for genocide.
American war planning usually takes place in highly secure facilities. But the Trump administration planned its strikes on the Houthis using a group chat—and accidentally included The Atlantic’s editor in chief, @JeffreyGoldberg. theatlantic.com/politics/archi…

You are "heartbroken" for yourself but you watched an ethnic cleansing and felt nothing.
On October 18th, several University of Pennsylvania police officers dressed in SWAT gear served a search warrant on a West Philadelphia home outside of the University of Pennsylvania Police Department’s (UPPD) patrol district. The warrant was issued for suspicion of vandalism,…
We are appalled by the recent armed police raid on students and by the central administration’s ongoing and escalating political repression of protest. You can read the EC’s statement here aaup-penn.org/statement-of-t…
today i cited data on the disabling impacts of the IOF's state violence against Palestinians in a class presentation + my professor told me she wouldn't grade my presentation because it made her "feel unsafe." attending penn rn is truly like living in the twilight zone

Yalile Suriel, expert on the militarization of campus police forces, said that “she could not recall another case like this focussed solely on vandalism.” Penn’s making unprecedented moves in the history of campus policing in attempt to suppress the Student Intifada.
Penn sent officers to raid a pro-Palestinian activist house off campus. They said it was in connection with a vandalism investigation. inquirer.com/education/upen…
That’s because they’re all responsible. They all served different but necessary roles in conducting the 6am police raid on students protesting genocide. Shame on Penn, PPD, and Krasner for refusing to take accountability for this act of terror.
One other thing: no one wanted to take responsibility for this. PPD directed my qs to Penn and the DA. DA said they approved the warrant based on evidence from Penn police but would use discretion if charges were requested. Penn police confirmed the raid but wouldn’t comment
NEW: 13 cops raided a UPenn student residence in West Philly armed w assault rifles & donned in tactical gear. The reason for the raid? Suspicion of vandalism related to paint thrown on a statue a month ago as part of protests against the war on Gaza theintercept.com/2024/10/23/upe…
