Strongly welcome this. A key weapon in delivering our mission to halve violence against women and girls in a decade.
Victims shouldn’t have to change their lives to stay safe. That's why we’re making sure those who cause harm are held to account. Our new £53m investment will drive the largest-ever rollout to target the most dangerous domestic abuse perpetrators, stopping them from reoffending.
We're tackling mobile signal blackspots on trains. Today I am announcing a landmark partnership to deliver ultra fast fibre optic cable on major rail lines. We're improving connectivity, productivity, and helping ensure more reliable and efficient rail services.📲📶⚡️
I am one of the Labour MPs who signed this letter today. Palestine must be recognised immediately.

The late Pope Francis rang this church in Gaza every day. Yet more proof of Netanyahu's callous disregard for civilian life.
The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem says the Holy Family Catholic Church in Gaza was struck on Thursday morning. Fr. Gabriel Romanelli, the parish priest, has sustained injuries, along with several other people, and the Church has been damaged.
If you agree that miners welfares, working men’s clubs and social clubs are magical institutions, please join the campaign to support them. party.coop/campaign/commu…
We may be down right now, but Rochdale’s fabulous @keira_walsh gives us hope to bounce back. We never give up in this town.
🔥 ENGLAND PULL ONE BACK! Keira Walsh's strike from the edge of the box brings the Lionesses RIGHT back into the contest 👀
I strongly welcome @wesstreeting's national investigation into maternity care. The best NHS maternity units genuinely listen to pregnant women, work collaboratively across disciplines and have a culture of high standards. The worst don't. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
My statement in the Assisted Dying Bill vote tomorrow:
Spot on from @lucianaberger - this bill is deeply flawed. Tomorrow the House of Commons will not vote on a principle but on whether this bill is fit to become law. It is not. It endangers the most vulnerable people we represent.
'This is a deeply flawed bill' MPs are preparing to vote on the assisted dying bill tomorrow. Baroness Berger tells @SophyRidgeSky: 'MPs don't even know what the final legislation is going to be when they vote' #PoliticsHub
As a 15yo mum, I was told what happened was my fault. @KemiBadenoch had power, yet did not meet one victim, or speak about grooming once. I do not know how she dares try & score points now. Thank god we have a gov that is taking violence against women & girls seriously.
Donald Trump confirms UK/ US trade deal has been signed. “The PM has done a great job, I want to tell that to the people of the UK. He has done what other people haven’t been able to do”.
This is a major intervention by Gordon Brown. I hope fellow MPs will heed his warning, think again and vote to reject the assisted dying bill on Friday. Our priority should be much better palliative care. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
Appalling Whitehall groupthink in the face of this disgusting crime.
🚨 Exclusive from Sky's @wizbates and @SamCoatesSky 🚨 Whitehall officials tried to convince @michaelgove to go to court to cover up the grooming scandal in 2011. The then education secretary rejected the request - but shows institutional mindset. Read: news.sky.com/story/politics…
