Well that’s another term finished. We’re taking down the bunting, packing away the flags and folding up the purple T-shirts. Tuesday saw a great turn out and we finished our night enjoying a drink in the pub over the road. Have a great summer everyone & thanks for your hard work

It is the tercentenary of the birth of the Revd John Newton, curate of Olney, who unusually was a slave, then a slave trader, then converted to Christianity and became an Abolitionist. He wrote the hymn Amazing Grace and lived (just) to see the African slave trade abolished.

Several YPC members have had a wonderful evening in Malton with @EricWhitacre today in his workshop as part of the Rydale Festival. Diane & Elaine were lucky to meet Eric afterwards. Wendy, Viv, Jess & Deborah also took part & really enjoyed singing Seal Lullaby & Sing Gently.🎶

After a fab afternoon Come and Sing with @ejdougan where half a dozen of our choir members were joined by 50 others from @WimbledonChoral and many others, we're now in the final performance of @surreybachfest (opera night!!)
