Update: Trevor Bauer returns from the Japanese minor leagues, immediately surrenders the longest home run in recorded history
Not even the unwavering support of every incel in the western hemisphere could prevent the pitcher with NPB’s worst ERA from being sent down to the Japanese minor leagues
Man, people aged different back then
Rich Hill is now the oldest player to appear in a game for the Kansas City Royals, breaking the record of this man:
Let that sink in folks
Rich Hill took the mound today for his 14th career team, the Royals, and held one of baseball’s best teams to just one run over five innings! Those sweepers (grouped with his slider) each registered a proStuff+ of 125 or higher!
Rich Hill’s final line tonight: 5 IP, 1 ER, 90 pitches He is 45 years old We Stan This Man
Rich Hill will start for KC tonight at Wrigley Field, where he also pitched 20 years ago. If he stays on the roster through August, he will become the 5th-oldest player to appear in MLB this century, trailing only: 1. Jamie Moyer 2. Julio Franco 3. Jesse Orosco 4. Randy Johnson…
LOL omg That’s some perspective SEVEN THOUSAND DAYS AGO
7,003 days ago, Rich Hill was on the mound at US Cellular Field (now Rate Field) when Michael Barrett punched A.J. Pierzynski. It was Hill's 14th MLB game.
You don’t need to have thrown any innings in the big leagues to realize that 700 innings over 10 years is simply not the kind of workload that commands $30 million a year. Have you looked at how many innings Clemens, Maddux, Morris, Cone, Pettitte, Schilling, and Glavine threw?
We shouldn’t listen to him bc he’s “thrown under 700 innings” but we should listen to you who has thrown 0. 👍
I irrationally can’t stand it when pitchers have single-digit jersey numbers lol There’s no way Blake Snell deserves to wear the same number as Lou Gehrig
trying to think of pitcher numbers... #31 is Greg Maddux and...... Mark Portugal for the Red Sox in 1999, I got nothing else
Put Geno Suarez at shortstop
Congrats to Anthony Volpe for tying the major league lead in errors 👏👏👏 incredible accomplishment!
He should really change his name from Cillian Murphy to Tyler Glasnow, because he's pretty much made of glass now
I’m sorry but would you LISTEN to this crybaby? He’s thrown under 700 innings in his 10-year big league career yet here is making $30 million a year and whining about how the season is too long, just like Anaheim’s Tony Wage Theft
Things I say when the 11th different Tinder girl tells me I’m hot for like two weeks only to ultimately unmatch me for being 5 feet tall
this app fucking sucks
This is lowkey a Barry Bonds tweet, I guess; he runs away with this list of most 30/30 season of the 1990s, but he was great before then and didn't reach the height of his powers until the 2000s. It was unfair how good Barry Bonds was. We are lucky to have witnessed it.
Not enough people talk about Raul Mondesi • 29.5 WAR, 271 HR, 860 RBI, 229 SB • Scored 80 runs 8x, drove in 80 7x • 1994 NL ROY, 1995 NL All-Star • 2x Gold Glover (RF), 113 OPS+ • 29 HR, 91 RBI, 24 SB per 162 • 1589 H, 639 XBH, .815 OPS • Went 30/30 2x, total boss •…

🤣 🤣 🤣
Joe Torre was stoic. Respected. Looked up to. Girardi was a winner as a player, had fire and delivered in ‘09. Both managed big stars and big personalities. Boone is a goofy cartoon character who whines on podcasts and runs the clubhouse like a daycare. How did we get here 🤦🏻♂️
It’s Tuesday & we’re almost at the top of the mountain! I’ve been counting down the Top 400 Moments in MLB History at BallNine & today we’re at #15-#11. It’s an impossible choice, but what moment from this week’s episode would you rank as the most impactful?
Show me your favorite superhuman Mondesi throws

Things the Cardinals say to G-Man as he steps to the plate to face Maddux with the bases loaded in the 1996 playoffs
Torch him, Gaetti!
Anyone figure out why he’s a Tuesday Man?
