Last few days have been clouds & rains in Berlin. While everyone hates it, eating into summer but it reminded me of monsoon times in Chandigarh where winds+rains meant all us kids running to collect mangoes which will be dropping. Happy to have a slice of childhood memory relives
Rather hard lesson learnt for me is when you lend money, even to close friends, do not expect to get it back (at least without lot of chasing). Lend amount you are comfortable donating/never seeing back. Shouldn't stop your helping folks, just limit the expectation downside
Unspoken Rule: When someone lends you money, remember it comes from their savings and hard-earned income. No matter the amount is big or small, if they trusted you enough to lend it, repay it without being asked.
On 8 hour bus trip in Balkans & reminded of times there was no ipad or smart phones &, as kid on Delhi -Chd route, would be curious which movie will played in the common TV in bus, hoping for a yet unseen movie, grab good view seats. Some childhood memories fade with tech change
So why doesn't Lufthansa start a Berlin to India direct flight 😒 aviationa2z.com/index.php/2025…
Imagine if now Hans finals the final, in Magnus' tournament 😅
Hans reacts to Magnus’s Tie Breaks 😳😳 Edit: @ram_abhyudaya #chess #chessbaseindia #hansniemann #magnuscarlsen
Today in coffee shop, an old gentleman probably late 70s sitting next to me struck a conversation. I talked in my broken German. He seemed so happy in 15 min on conversation as likely he felt lonely. Another reason why I want to be conversational in German
This is amazing. I hope more of these but have no confidence in our local bodies to replicate (and maintain) something like this

I don't get the Dubai golden visa hype. If you had a job in Dubai or wanted to move as a freelancer, visa was never an issue anyway.
Privatized pockets of city in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Gurgaon are maintained like any good city at a global level. It seems solution is to privatize the whole operations of city municipality as the govt machinery will just never have the incentives to work well
If @MunCorpGurugram was privatised & run by DLF, this is how the whole of Gurgaon would actually look like! This is Gurgaon as well. Please hold officials accountable or privatise Municipal Services. @cmohry @PMOIndia @narendramodi @TheSanjivKapoor @MathildeRa77404 @OfficialGMDA…
Saw these 50g protein milk shakes (and also vegan ones) in Montenegro. Why are these not common in Germany ?

Only aspect of credit here is that they are at least listening to social media outrage.
#BREAKING | Delhi government to tweak vehicle policy, 'end of life' vehicles won't be scrapped, only polluting vehicles will #delhifuelban #Delhi
The village I'm in this week, the local friends come out with their chairs, sit by the coast and chat away till the sun goes down. Something about roots in a place with familiar social circle since childhood with no ambitions pulling you away to faraway lands.

My friend and teammate in the Indian Hockey team Bimal Lakra is in Hospital in Ranchi in a very serious condition. He served the nation for many years. 🥇Jr. World Cup 2001 🥈Asian Games 2002 🥇Asia Cup 2003 Hope the Govt. takes care of him now. He has no job at the moment.
Letting go isn’t a decision. It’s the slow process of teaching your nervous system that release won’t mean abandonment, danger, or the loss of who you are. A research-and clinically-backed thread on trauma, safety, and finally coming home to yourself:
Pretty much agree how joke of a game pickleball is & I wouldn't waste a minute on it, but if it lowers barrier for people to at least get active & enjoy competitiveness of a sport then all for it. Seen many shy away from tennis, badminton or squash due to lack of needed technique
After seeing this up close I hereby declare pickleball is an absolute joke of a sport. The ball is no speed, no bounce, the paddle has no power. Playing catch catch with a toddler is more testing.
Sad to see him retire. Still remember seeing him first on the scene, dribbling past the opposition players on the flank with trickery which reminded me that Indian style of hockey hadn't fully been overpowered by flat passing play of European hockey. It has been a pleasure Lalit
Today, I announce my retirement from international hockey. It’s a tough moment, but one every athlete must face one day. It has been the greatest honour and pride of my life to represent our country 🇮🇳🙏 Thank you for everything. 🙏 @HockeyIndiaLeag @TheHockeyIndia
