Can you also explain why you voted to proscribe @Pal_action as a terrorist group when you know it is targetting the Israeli war machinery in this country? Your feel-good speeches about stopping genocide are meaningless; you criminalise those who turn words into action.
My statement on why I voted against the welfare reforms today:
Next week on 31st July, Tower Hamlets Council decides upon the future of the Truman Brewery and therefore on the future identity of Spitalfields itself. spitalfieldslife.com/2025/07/22/wil…
Join us to reflect on the legacy of anti-fascist organising in Britain — from the 1970s to today, our communities have always resisted. One year on from last summer’s pogroms, we come together to honour that history and look forward. Get tickets here: link.outsavvy.com/heretostay

I hope #Meta just made a mistake, and will soon correct it, with an apology to Professor @luigidaniele10. If "community standards" are invoked to silence human rights advocacy, it is not the global community the standards are protecting. And none of us can feel safe in such a…

The IOF have murdered 82 Palestinians so far today. 33 were gunned down while waiting for food. The rest were bombed by drones, fighter jets, or shelled by tanks in their homes and on the roads. Hundreds injured. The IOF bombed one school already. It's 12pm in Gaza.
Bethnal Green and Stepney’s absentee MP who barely kept her seat voted to proscribe Palestine Action as terrorist organisation. We will not forget.
Haldane opposes the planned proscription of Palestine Action. In just a few days our proposed letter to the Home Secretary has been endorsed by a coalition of 1000s of diverse voices ranging from stonemasons to vicars, KCs, Peers, MPs, actors, teachers, trade unions & activists.
Deeply embarrassing. Your cowardice will be remembered. We stand unequivocally with @Pal_action - yet you have now voted for your constituents, who repeat this statement to face up to 14 years of imprisonment? @rushanaraali @RupaHuq @NazShahBfd @TulipSiddiq @DawnButlerBrent
Irony is dead. They actually posed for this photo this morning - before banning Palestine action in the afternoon. The sufragettes were the very model of non-violent direct action.
So Butler was in parliament today filming a video honouring the suffragettes, while abstaining on the proscribing of Palestine Action. What an absolute joke.
97 years ago today, women finally won equal voting rights. The Dearsley Window, tucked away in Parliament, honours the suffragettes and the fight they led. Their struggle changed history but the fight for equality isn’t over.
"I support Palestine action, and I want you to say the same. What are they going to do, jail us all?" George Monbiot:
I get many are getting cold feet with the British gov terrorising the public who are anti-genocide of Palestinians. Remember the children of Palestine when that fear kicks in, their pleas. We’ll Not abandon Palestine cause we live in a fascist country that want Palestinians dead
Thousands protesting outside Downing Street now to oppose the proscription of @Pal_action and defend the right to protest. 🇵🇸
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, and I know I speak for millions of people up and down the country: We are all Palestine Action 🇵🇸
This is fake news. The House of Lords still hasn’t voted (that’ll happen tomorrow), and there’s a High Court legal challenge listed for Friday that, if successful, would suspend the ban coming into effect.
BREAKING 🇬🇧🇵🇸 The UK Parliament has voted to proscribe @Pal_action as a terrorist organisation. Support for the group will now carry a prison sentence of up to 14 years.
