A terrible loss for his family, and greater parental fears over kidnapping paralleled the general growing hostility toward pedestrians, child and adult. A parent who lets an older child walk now can be convicted of a violent felony. nytimes.com/2025/07/21/nyr…
There are ways to do this. All legal line of duty site-visit placards should have geolocation and time scan that tech matches up with your job duties for the day. Can manually appeal. Can ease transition via 3years where you choose $5k cash bonus or $5k taxable parking benefit.
If the city was serious about alleviating congestion, parking placards wouldn’t exist
And much of the issue on Canal Street is the placard corruption. It will be hard to calm traffic and find a place for all of those illegally parked placard cars, to go -- city doesn't want to deal with headache. Placard corruption is dangerous.
We've been fighting to fix Canal Street for seven years, but City Hall has sat on its hands. Now two more New Yorkers are dead from a deadly crash. These deaths are avoidable. Canal Street must be redesigned now to save lives. We went on @PIX11News to talk about it:
Yes. I was wondering myself how hard we are really chasing down these cars.
Imagine if the cops took reports of stolen vehicles seriously. Whatever happened to the former NYPD Tech Boss’s claim she had set up a gazillion taxpayer dollar network of ANTI TERROR ALPR cameras that should have flagged this car a dozen times before the crash?
Exactly. And Democrats fall for it every time.
Duffy is also using the same tactic Trump is successful with: make a statement that obviously exaggerates, and when the inevitable fact check comes, opponents have to admit that while not 100 percent true, the data still cuts his way.
RIP, Sol, who was unflinchingly uncompromising to the end. nytimes.com/2025/07/17/us/…
You read all this stuff about Epstein and you understand why people believe the Pizzagate thing. (Disclaimer: I do not believe the Pizzagate thing.)
If at once you fail, try again ... so you can drive a car with no license, badly injure a pedestrian, flee the scene, and then be freed to try it all over again and kill two people. (allegedly) nydailynews.com/2025/07/20/dri…

There's no such thing as a blame-free shooting. You bring a gun into your house, it is your responsibility to keep it secure, or face serious criminal penalties. nypost.com/2025/07/20/us-…

Democracy is literally hanging by a thread unless Stephen Colbert can make $20 million a year telling unfunny jokes on a show that loses $50 million a year.
Fromer NPR CEO @Vivian Schiller on CBS cancelling Colbert’s show: “This has not been a great week for free speech and speaking truth to power”
This is perfect bait for the unhinged, and the unhinged will take it. The problem with Mamdani is not a 10day summer vacation when he has virtually no credible single opponent (someone was muttering to me yesterday that Cuomo would lose even with no opponent!), but his policies.
Good morning! I'm in Uganda to visit family and friends. But depending on your perspective, don't worry or I'm sorry: I'll be back by the end of the month. See you soon, NYC.

And whether it turns out to be self defense is irrelevant. You reduce self defense homicides by reducing disorder. (CVS case applies here too.)
This is our third subway homicide of the year. Though NYC likes to minimize our subway violence crisis to own the libs, this means that even with recent improvements, we’ve already exceeded the longtime annual average of 1-2 before 2020. nypost.com/2025/07/19/us-…
If one must choose between two nutty extremes, the city/state saying no problems and duffy saying subway is disaster, Duffy is closer to bring correct. The factually documented increase in assaults leads to a feeling of anxiety and also leads to more homicides. Unacceptable.
