Why I keep my degree in my twitter title: 1. Dr. can be anything from a PhD in English to a physiotherapist,I like to keep things clear. 2. As a 1st gen doc,it represents generations of dreams & hopes. 3. It took a lot to earn them,and I want to flaunt it. Go on,Judge me!
I think a better approach would be independent auditing of classes,rather than discourage attendance, increase the quality. I remember things taught a decade back! The new generation deserves better teachers,the mushrooming of medical colleges isn't helping exactly. #MedTwitter
Compulsory attendance is the shittiest rule in Medical Colleges You are forcing students to sit in a class just so that an old disinterested professor will read out the slides from a presentation made by an already overworked resident Let us choose whose class we want to attend
