#ExpressOpinion | “Doublethink — that act of simultaneously holding two contradictory beliefs — comes through the daily assertions of the IDF being ‘the most moral army in the world’. Even after they have killed over 58,000 civilians, two-thirds of them women and children, the…
Great clarity and guts to state the unspeakable. Quoting Bertolt Brecht: "In the dark times Will there also be singing? Yes, there will also be singing About the dark times."

Since we’re having a complete meltdown over France recognizing the State of Palestine, let’s ask a simple question: To those who reject the two-state solution and also oppose a one-state solution with equal rights or citizenship for Palestinians—what exactly is your solution?
If you wondered why Israel does not want a ceasefire, government minister Amichai Eliyahu explained that Israel is "racing against time to wipe out Gaza and its Palestinian population." He said the quiet part out loud.
Psychopathic war criminal 😡 MEMO: Israel’s far-right Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu said Thursday that his government is “racing against time to wipe out Gaza and its Palestinian population,” adding that the territory will become “entirely Jewish,” Anadolu reports.
Starve, Pray and Die. “There’s no case of such minutely engineered, closely monitored, precisely designed mass starvation of a population as is happening in Gaza today.” Powerful words from Alex de Waal on the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza carnegieendowment.org/middle-east/di…
This kind of collective letter by former senior UK diplomats is unheard of. But it is indicative of how much feeling there is among our diplomats - serving and retired - on this issue. Britain's recognition of the State of Palestine flows from our international commitments.
Over 50 former senior UK diplomats call on @Keir_Starmer to unconditionally recognise a Palestinian state now. Don't wait for a bilateral Israeli-Palestinian process to emerge by itself - it is not going to happen. Instead, kickstart a multilateral push. una.org.uk/letter-prime-m…

Happening now in Tel Aviv: we march with the pictures of the children in Gaza who were starved to death by our government and our army. We cannot accept it. We call people to refuse the starvation, to refuse the killing, to refuse the annihilation.
An email from UNRWA, with some lines from a colleague in Gaza: “We’re in the death phase. Everything around people at the moment is death, whether it’s bombs or strikes, children wasting away in front of their eyes from malnourishment, from dehydration, and dying.”
Every single day, day after gruesome day
BREAKING: More than 30 people have been killed after Israeli troops opened fire towards crowds of Palestinians waiting for aid, according to witnesses and hospital officials news.sky.com/story/gaza-mor…
The use of starvation as a weapon of war was always going to lead to this result. 18 people died of hunger, while over 70 were slaughtered waiting for food to relieve them from said starvation. Gazans have two choices: starve to death or get shot.
Breaking: In just 24 hours, 18 people have died from famine in Gaza, according to the Ministry of Health. Civilians are dying in silence as the siege continues and the world looks away.

Archbishop Alexios of Gaza delivers a heartfelt speech to the visiting delegation: “The people don’t want to immigrate. The people they want to stay in Gaza because this is their home... This is the land of Palestine and the Palestinians have the right to stay in their land.”
89% of building in Rafah and 84% of buildings in northern Gaza have been destroyed. When the U.S. nuked Hiroshima it destroyed 67% of the buildings and 40% in Nagasaki. The destruction in Gaza is likely the most severe of any residential area in warfare history.
