This cracks me up! "We won't litigate this in public like the Chancellor did with his letter and Bishop Bryan did with his." But not this! 😂 Statement by the ACNA archbishop’s office on Rachel Thebeau’s letter of July 25, 2025 anglican.ink/2025/07/25/sta… via @Anglican Ink © 2025
Reading religious texts from centuries ago and comparing them to present-day examples, one thing is consistent across all religions, east and west: there has been a drastic de-emphasis of demons or the devil. Almost as if belief in them have vanished or gone completely abstract.
Given the extraordinary nature of the letter signed by +Bryan and its assertions that apparently contradict court orders, the Bishop should consider resigning if it turns out that Runyan did object to the questioning or announce his intent to resign at the close of court.
Was the Court correct when it stated on July 20 that Runyan stated his resignation before the court? Or was it correct when it stated today, July 23, that Runyan left trial without any explanation, leaving them to find out he had resigned later? It is not clear at this time.
“How do I help someone in deep pain if I’m not a trained counselor?” 1. Be present. 2. Be prayerful. 3. Be patient. 4. Believe and hope in Christ for them. Remember the Spirit does the heavy lifting.

The accounts of the Court and of the prosecutor about what happened after the questioning also seem not entirely harmonious, if not inconsistent. An unambiguous telling of events seems not yet possible. x.com/ArlieColes/sta…
Also of note: the Court claims that Runyan, the former prosecutor, "departed the trial without an explanation or request to withdraw" and that the Court learned of Runyan's complaint for the first time by reading Runyan's letter to the Archbishop, along with everyone else.

Arlie can translate otherwise opaque canonical issues into accessible and highly informative articles. This one is particularly important and good!
Those interested in Anglican ecclesiastical discipline, and those with questions about the behavior of the court, the prosecutor, and the defense in this case, will want to give my article here a read:
