The Garden of Gethsemane is not only Jesus’ story - it’s a place where He meets you in your own troubles and suffering that feels overwhelming. He has walked this path so that your darkest night will never be faced alone.
If money and time were no object, what would you be doing right now?
The Cross means the worst thing that ever happened became the best thing that ever happened - so you can face suffering, shame, and even death knowing none of it can ultimately harm you. You're safe, because you're His.
I so often live as though I am trying to write God into my story when all along He is writing me into His story!
The way Eugene Peterson describes pastoral ministry here and in his books is beautiful. It’s refreshing to hear, unlike some of the CEO/Leadership expectations placed on pastors today.
I often think about this ministry model from Eugene Peterson’s 'Working the Angles'. There’s more to ministry, but this framework captures the heart of it.
Be present today like a little kid playing outside caught up in the moment with no cares about tomorrow.
I use this video a lot to show how people overlook the value of Christ for their sin. Their affections of what they think is worth more is foolish and they cant see what they're passing up for something worth far far less.
This is why you don't let children choose their gender...🤷♂️

Most people don’t need a therapist. They need a friend who listens like Jesus. Here are 5 ways to care like Christ: 🧵
Great and simple. Such a gift to experience this kind of care from friends when I've been in deep pain.
“How do I help someone in deep pain if I’m not a trained counselor?” 1. Be present. 2. Be prayerful. 3. Be patient. 4. Believe and hope in Christ for them. Remember the Spirit does the heavy lifting.

“The early church was married to poverty, prisons and persecutions. Today, the church is married to prosperity, personality, and popularity.” - Leonard Ravenhill
There’s something deeply glorious and profoundly healing when we can freely be ourselves and laugh and cry in the presence of others who truly get us and receive us. We all long for that. And whenever it happens, I think we’re getting a glimpse of heaven.
Does anyone else have a 17-18yr old that is having a hard time finding a part-time job? I think there are multiple factors at play but I don't remember it being that hard when I was that age.
Grateful for this beautiful space this week to sit with a fellow sufferer and pastor for a Biblical Counseling Intensive. Honored to witness God’s grace at work in the deep places. He is so good!

"God is too good to be unkind. He is too wise to be confused. If I cannot trace His hand, I can always trust His heart." - Charles Spurgeon
