A rainbow is the insignia of a queer nation state, as ubiquitous as a Christogram in the flag of the Roman empire under Constantine. Its message: gay is everywhere, gay is good. Happiness is unrestricted sexuality.
@mmletters is always worth reading. I'll have to think a bit more, but a couple of thoughts spring to mind: 1) Christians used to be great at producing such "signs" or "Symbols". Signs and Symbols (the creeds used to be called symbols) bring people together. You share a…
In 2022 Bp. Prevost responded to the kidnapping & rape of 3-yr. girl: "The death penalty is not admissible." Neither is chemical castration. He advised seeking "root causes"—a feint mistaken for justice. larepublica.pe/sociedad/2022/…
In other words, "inadmissible" is a post-Enlightenment end-run around Scripture. Thus does a secular tail wag the ecclesial dog.
Pope Francis changed CCC #2267 7 years ago, declared death penalty to be “inadmissible” because it is “an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person.” But scripture permits death penalty by proper authority. Thus, popes cannot declare death penalty immoral or sinful.
"Inadmissible" is Pope Leo's word for invalidating the death penalty. It is a weak, inappropriate term. [e.g. Adultery & abortion are not merely "inadmissible". They're sinful & forbidden.
This is the most dangerous effect of the “inadmissible” phrasing- it puts rapists and terrorists on par, “equal dignity by virtue of their humanity” with innocent life in the womb. Which is to say, babies are no more deserving of life than a rapist or terrorist.
Leo XIV follows Francis in declaring the death penalty "inadmissible" in all circumstances. Murderers, child rapists, & terrorists now join the unborn as objects of pro-life concern. bit.ly/3G7PepI

On Pentecost, Pope Leo signalled his role as the anointed rhapsodist of religious faith in service to geopolitics & open borders. (Leo is smoother than Francis, but his leftism is just as real.) bit.ly/3FTvOoj
On Pentecost, Pope Leo repeated the phrase "the Spirit opens borders" multiple times, finishing with "opens borders between peoples." Has the Vatican buried one social justice leftist only to elect another?
J.D.Vance & Tom Homan are on stronger Church ground than sentimental, platitudinous humanitarians in the USCCB. Bishops have confused "welcoming the stranger" with welcoming lawless invaders detrimental to U.S. workers & U.S. poor.
Catholic bishops, your billion dollar bargain with the devil bought this. @USCCB @USAYep @complicitclergy @RealTomHoman

The Secretary of Defense is now threatening to deploy active-duty Marines on American soil against its own citizens. This is deranged behavior.
In 2023 Robert Prevost—now ‘Leo XIV’—adopted Bernardin's 'seamless garment' ideology, declaring that opposing abortion necessitated opposing capital punishment.wmreview.org/p/prevost-deat…
"This is a very significant choice, because it’s a vote against America since Prevost has been a leading opponent of Donald Trump”[Franca Giansoldati, Vatican expert, Il Messaggero]

Be wary of a Bergoglian-dominated conclave bearing gifts. Prevost was a leading opponent of Trump. "Latin American cardinals saw him as one of their own, not as a gringo." bit.ly/4klnigC
"MacIntyre emphasized that the study of ethics cannot be separated from history, for it is an understanding of historically situated practices within communities that is needed to make sense of moral judgments."wordonfire.org/articles/remem…
Leo takes a Fabian approach to women priests—steady & gradual. No frontal assault on opposition, no pitched battles. Just slow attrition: one Vatican office, one woman at a time. As always, the Church has time.

The word “inadmissible” is meaningless in the context of capital punishment administered by the legitimate authority. The catechism does not say death penalty is immoral or sinful, because scripture clearly permits it when approved by legitimate state authority.
Benedict initiated the papal Twitter acct. He acted on shallow advice. Social media banalizes the sacred. Banality suffocates holiness; a papal internet account burlesques prayer. The contemplative spirit shrinks from social media.
I’ve been on the fence about this question. The posted essay convinced me- no social media for the Pope. The Vatican press office may need to, but no personal accounts for the Pontiff.
Is the papacy relevant if a pope doesn't tweet? Leo XIV will follow Francis by posting on @Pontifex. This isn't evangelization. It is trendy brand management.spectator.org/pope-leo-is-tw…
