Spending New Year’s Eve in the saddle on a snow-white Marwari horse along a mountain trail in Nepal was something I had to check off my bucket list.

My new opinion article is not only about “How to spot an antisemite”, but also on cutting through the pro-Palestine / pro-Israel muddle. Clearing the conversation for the sake of realistic peacemaking. @JewishChron thejc.com/opinion/how-to…
What a pleasant end to #ICML2025 to win the best paper at @genbio_workshop with the dream team for our paper FORT: Forward only regression training of Normalizing flows 🌊
Wrapping up #ICML2025 on a high note — thrilled (and pleasantly surprised!) to win the Best Paper Award at @genbio_workshop 🎉 Big shoutout to the team that made this happen! Paper: Forward-Only Regression Training of Normalizing Flows (arxiv.org/abs/2506.01158) @Mila_Quebec

Aithyra Opening Symposium "AI for Life Science" with Nobel Laureate Frances Arnold as keynote speaker in addition to an outstanding line up of speakers on a variety of topics across biological scales and data modalities. Registration is now open at lnkd.in/dkJJCmqx

a little unorthodox but if you're looking for a good, intuitive (but a little math-heavy) understanding of Neural Networks i suggest arxiv.org/pdf/2104.13478 by @mmbronstein and @PetarV_93 this is not a book for practical stuff or tips and tricks imo, it's for the bigger picture
Just saw our Nature paper on model collapse passed 500k accesses. To put that in perspective, the Nobel-winning AlphaFold paper has 2.3M accesses—only 4.6x more. I wanted to reflect back on it and progress broadly in the past year.
I will be at #ISMB/ECCB today at Liverpool giving a talk at Bioinformatics and AI track in UK today at 1640. (See elixiruknode.org/event/bioinfor… ) organized by Janet Thornton and Carole Goble. If you like to catch up and discuss science, DM me here
Math meme opportunities are now manifold. @miniapeur do your best.

NeurIPS is pleased to officially endorse EurIPS, an independently-organized meeting taking place in Copenhagen this year, which will offer researchers an opportunity to additionally present their accepted NeurIPS work in Europe, concurrently with NeurIPS. Read more in our blog…
