Too close to the pink dome. Probably peaked early. Wife, mom, geek, opinionated baseball enthusiast, reforming Christian. Didn't used to be angry.
Another point to add to my ever-growing soapbox....
Because the stakes are high for them and I'm worried for their future. Misinformation isn’t just annoying, it shapes choices, votes, health decisions, and futures. Giving children a deep, well‑connected knowledge base isn’t nostalgia; it’s equipping them to navigate a complex…
Increasingly aware that people don't follow their local news and don't listen to daily weather reports. I genuinely don't understand this.
Privacy legislation like this is closing the barn door after the horse got out AND the fire has started. But it'll be quite popular.

I remember Rich Hill as a rookie. Also, he's my age.
Rich Hill's longevity is INSANE 🤯 H/T @MichaelaB_22
Hollywood doesn't make epic backlot costume dramas very often, they're expensive.
What happened to this America? Where did it go?
David Corenswet needs to do Star Wars. I have spoken.
“david corenswet should do an emily henry romcom” no david corenswet should do a big and flashy golden age broadway musical revival
Okay, you had me at Caitriona Balfe.
Focus Features' “Sense and Sensibility” remake with Daisy Edgar-Jones as Elinor Dashwood has rounded out its cast: - Caitríona Balfe as Mrs. Dashwood - George MacKay as Edward Ferrars - Fiona Shaw as Mrs. Jennings - Frank Dillane as John Willoughby - Herbert Nordrum as Colonel…
Physical textbooks > Digital textbooks This is particularly true for younger learners. It is true for all learners because the navigation system on digital textbooks is beyond atrocious.
Replacing textbooks with Chromebooks was a mistake

Yup, and corn subsidies are the most sacred of all the sacred cows.
Again, as long as there are tariffs on sugar cane and corn is subsidized by the government, Coke isn’t switching to sugar cane. The cost is too much and there will come a point when consumers say no.
Adopting this one.
I was explaining to my Ukrainian colleague the phrase ‘There’s no such thing as a free lunch’. She told me the equivalent in Ukrainian is ‘The only free cheese is in the mousetrap’ - which is so much better
The re-adaptation I am most looking forward to is Chamber of Secrets. This whole plotline has tons to say about our current moment, not to mention it was not given an ounce of real due in the original film bc Chris Columbus was making a children's film.
I read a lot of science fiction as a kid, so it's kind of a shock that the most prescient novel from my youth was in Harry Potter when a girl gets into infinite text chat with a magic diary that pretends to be a perfect safe boyfriend while it actually sucks out her life force.
This is really the best scene in science fiction in the last...long time...and it isn't close.
The T-Rex scene in Jurassic Park may be iconic, but the dinner table ethics debate is just as riveting and often overlooked.
I'm in. "In America’s classrooms, the smartphones may now finally be in retreat, but the Chromebooks are still dug in deep. For now anyway. We’re coming for them next." #txlege johnallenwooden.substack.com/p/ok-google-ma…
I teared up watching this at home and would have been *destroyed* watching it in person. What a cool way to honor Hank Aaron.
Absolutely incredible.

Actual team uniforms and no advertising patches on the jerseys for the All-Star Game — and it’s glorious. (No helmet ads either.) For one night, @mlb gives itself the visual presentation it deserves.
