The #Mets enjoyed a laugher in SF last night. They also made a trade to help the bullpen before the game. The big move they should make? It’s Steven Kwan from Cleveland. @andrewsteeled takes a look at the pros and cons of such a move this morning… open.substack.com/pub/justmets/p…
#Mets had a nice win in SF last night. Top of the order (1-4) - which had been ice cold for a while - went 7-for-19 w/ 4 runs scored and 6 RBI. Clay Holmes gave them 5 solid & the bullpen was great too. 1st place, 6th best record in MLB, & more help coming. Hanging tough!

#Mets roster moves, again! LHP José Castillo (#54) selected to the Major League roster RHP Alex Carrillo optioned to Triple-A Syracuse RHP Max Kranick transferred to the 60-Day Injured List
Official: #Mets acquire LHP Gregory Soto from the #Orioles for RHP Wellington Aracena and RHP Cam Foster.
I know I talk about Mitch Keller a lot. Its a great fit and the #Mets are one of a few teams who can take on that entire contract. Aside from his solidness, he's averaging nearly 6 IP per start. Think about that when it comes to balancing innings from the bullpen.
Now, the #Mets have time to (hopefully) sort their starting rotation out, find another bat, and perhaps find more bullpen help. Been saying for a while - they couldn't wait until deadline day.
#Mets make a deal! They are attempting to address their hole on the left side of their bullpen. They will try with Gregory Soto. open.substack.com/pub/justmets/p…
Gregory Soto has held left-handed hitters to a .138 opposing batting average and a .547 OPS this season. #Mets
Per @martinonyc - the #Mets are getting LHP Gregory Soto from the Orioles. 44 K, 18 BB, 36.1 IP in 45 appearances this season. Great velo, misses bats. Helps fill the need from the left side in the bullpen. Can't argue with this. He's a rental, but a lot of upside here.
Dylan Cease? Zac Gallen? How about Eugenio Suárez? How can the #Mets creatively solve their problems with the offense? @LindaSurovich talks about all of that in a busy newsletter this morning… open.substack.com/pub/justmets/p…

Here is @richmacleod's 2025 @just_mets trade deadline guide book. He broke down over 50 players the #Mets could possibly target over the next week. It's quite detailed, and quite great. Take a read (need to be a paid sub).. justmets.net/p/the-2025-jus…
The #Mets needed more from the top of their lineup, and will continue to need more. On Wednesday, they helped the Mets offense pace towards a win and a sweep of the Angels. By @andrewsteeled open.substack.com/pub/justmets/p…
Despite all of their problems, the #Mets are tied for first place in the NL East. For now anyway. They're holding serve with the Phils as they get closer to the trade deadline. All things considered, that's great. They need to make a couple of big moves!
W. Series sweep. Lindor and Alonso broke out of their slumps, Manaea with a big start, Díaz shut the door despite some wildness. #Mets get a winning home stand after a rough weekend.
