I’ve had good cordial chats w/ Republicans over the past week. One common theme was their respect of Thomas Massie. There’s plenty I disagree with Massie on, but we align in certain ways. From what I know of him, he speaks plenty of truth his counterparts are unwilling to.

I’m seeing bragging about the quarterly fed gov surplus driven by tariff revenue. That money is what domestic businesses had to pay the Gov. In other words, it’s a hefty tax on Americans. Considering the economy contracted in Q1, it doesn’t seem holistically the plan is working.
