This is large part due to the political system serving the rich rather than ordinary people. The way to do reduce the influence of the wealthy is to double the size of the House of Representatives.

Voting is neither a privilege or a right, but it is protected in the Constitution. And those who are subject to the laws and protections in the Constitution should have a say in how those laws impact them, to include where their tax dollars go. And Congress makes those decisions.
