40K people use the bus on Dufferin every day but are forced to travel at 14km/h - a 65% increase in travel time than by car - because City Hall does not care about or prioritize transit riders. toronto.citynews.ca/2025/07/09/tor…

The people who did this have made the lives of the retired Chinese community hell. Now they have to find a way to other branches 10-12 blocks away! Total disregard for the community and the should personally clean it up!
The Scotiabank at Gerrard and Broadview heavily vandalized early this morning. Windows broken and red paint splashed all over the building.
Wow, it’s like Groundhog Day all over again! It’s 8:55am at stop 1756 and no 505 streets cars scheduled for another 16min and ridiculously 18min?????? This is a major route at a major intersection. Is it really impossible to get your act together? BTW lots of empty 504 buses !
Apologies for the inconvenience Michael. This is definitely not the experience that we want our customers to have. I will reach out to the Route Supervisor to look into this. ^TM

Second time in less than a month on the same stretch of the road, just down the street from where I live. Both times the motorist was at fault and speeding. Numerous deaths and serious injuries on a yearly basis. @OPP needs more officers! ctvnews.ca/barrie/article…
Thinking of doing a PhD? My number one piece of advice is spend time finding a supervisor that you can work with. This will be the most important decision in your whole PhD. If you find someone you can work with, it will be fine. If you can't work with them, it will be miserable.

I spent a good part my teens and university life at Call the Office! Always a motley crew of underaged drinkers, middle aged punks and rockers and salty blue collar retirees. Cheapest beer in town and a Mecca for the Punk Rock scene!
A place full of memories - Call the Office & before that the York Hotel - this important heritage building has been vacant for almost 5 years. There are now plans to completely renovate this building to reopen Call the Office. #ldnont 1 of 2
When I lived and worked in Egypt, I was a guest. I respected the Egyptian people and obeyed their laws. I may not have agreed with them, but as a guest, one needs to show courtesy.
They’re the gift that just keeps on giving. 😂😂 Egyptian policeman - “Respect our country and our law” Stupid moron - “We can do this in America, why can’t we do it here?” Egyptian policeman, looks bewildered - “It’s against our laws” @ThePujaTeli
Another early development sketch by Romelle Espiritu for #Gurkha, the feature film. Much of this early visualization helped make the final novel a much more vivid read. I will always be grateful for getting to work with such creative souls during the development phase @mcarterSKW
Today in 1949, George Orwell published one of the most chilling books I’ve ever read, 1984. A literary masterpiece, 1984 exposes tactics of suppression that feel all too familiar in our world today. Here are ten truths Orwell urged us to confront to ward off Big Brother 🧵👇🏼
A fantastic trip to a beautiful country and people.
Kathmandu embraces ancient customs and modern spirit. Even as I was working on the screenplay about the Nepalese #Gurkha soldiers in 1914, my interests included many aspects of Nepal. Here is an article I wrote for @TorontoStar back in 2009. thestar.com/life/travel/ka…
