📉Does improving horizontal deceleration increases the risk of noncontact ACL injury. ✅ More braking force = better deceleration ❌ Faster deceleration not linked to higher ACL risk (e.g. knee valgus, flexion moments). 📚 available open access: dx.doi.org/10.1002/ejsc.7…
And now finally out the fascinating work of @MervTravers about the immediate effect of the words on pain perception on AT. Love it! sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
@MervTravers fantastic presentation on how words impact pain perception. #achilles #tendon

Speculation: Slow is both collagen and cell loading. Fast is collagen loading, cell shielding.
OKC exercises may offer benefits in early ACLR rehab, despite the low-quality studies no adverse effects were reported. Caution is needed as performing them too soon post-surgery could increase knee laxity. Timing and progression matter for safe recovery!

@Sportskongres thanks for an incredible conference—the best I’ve ever experienced! It was a privilege to present our Achilles work and share the space with some of the world’s greatest (and most humble) minds. Huge thanks to #teamwhiskey for welcoming us newbies into the fold!
#SportsKongres2025 you were amazing!! 🤩 What an honor to talk about art history and sculpting… 🔨 and a little bit about ankle sprains!! - thank you @KThorborg @sportskongres for inviting me!! 🎙️ You can still register for #SportsKongresonline! 🖥️
🇩🇰SPORTS KONGRES🇩🇰 Is one of the best conferences for evidence based sports physio and medicine But it’s also the best for its social agenda and opportunities It was great to meet so many great people and thanks to all who came and said hello! See you next year! 👌🕺👍🇩🇰🥃

Great overview and future perspectives from @khair_ad on Achilles complex. Looking forward for new research on the topic

Wonderful presentation on Achilles and patellar tendon late stage rehab. @Seth0Neill The progressive and appropriate load together with the psychological factors assessment play a crucial role in the athlete guidance.

Thrilled to share our review (from my PhD) published in the renowned @BJSM_BMJ. We found that higher levels of muscle strength or cardiorespiratory fitness are associated with a significantly reduced risk of mortality (up to 40%) in cancer patients @ProfRobNewton @EMRI_ECU
Why use LET in pro sport ACLR. Graft selection has to based on patient sport, history and characteristics #sportkongres2025

Simple, easy to read and fast. Let's try to uniform nomenclature. Please, give me feedback if you find it useful. Thanks!! link.springer.com/article/10.100…

Complete recovery from midportion Achilles tendinopathy may require 24 weeks or more. Classifying patients into subgroups at baseline may offer valuable prognostic information for each domain of tendon health. Hanlon et al 2021-2023

External forces when DECELERATING can be huge compared to ACCELERATING❗️ What about comparison of internal joint forces ❓ DECELERATION (~5m Reactive) = 📌Hip Extensor = 164% Greater 📌Knee Extensor = 39% Greater ACCELERATION = 📌 Ankle Plantar Flexor = 63% Greater
230 patients were randomized in 2 group s (PRP and Placebo) Patient reported outcomes has been investigated in long term via questionnaires. Conclusion: PrP did not improve QoL two years after acute achilles tendon rupture compared with placebo. (Keene 2022)
