First survey in a while that we haven't been rolling all over the place- a welcome change! 🤪🌊🌬️ @thembauk @marineresplym @cpr

🚨New paper!🚨 We used unique historical #trawl data and resurveyed the same sites 120 years later to reveal long-term change in a North Sea inshore fish assemblage🐟 @newcastlemarine @UoABioSci @CefasGovUK #Openaccess in #MEPS int-res.com/abstracts/meps…
Despite pretty awful sea state and visibility, was great to get the 2024 MBA scientific diving season up and running with some training/refresher dives. Superb support from @TritoniaDiving and @mba_rv as always. Now we just need some settled weather and decent viz 🌞🦐🌱🌊🤞🤞🤞
In between the horrendous SW weather we managed to get the RIB launched for the season! #LittleWins 😁👊 @thembauk @sma

Finally we're starting to see some breaks in the winter weather...nice surveys last week collecting water & plankton samples for @thembauk researchers 😎💧🔬🌡️

Last week, Head of Operations, Lance Gregory & Ship Liaison Officer, Dave Wilson travelled to Vancouver, Canada, to coordinate a CPR tow point for a new ship, MV Jean Gabriel. She will be towing our CPRs across the North Pacific collecting vital data about our ocean! #TeamCPR
Beautiful day on the water collecting plankton & water samples for our colleagues @PlymouthMarine from long-term station L4

Difficult conditions for this week's MRes Marine Biology boat practical but plenty of underwater activity picked up on the BRUVs! @PlymSoundNMP @thembauk @sea_bugs
Penultimate trawl light trials with @Jas_Somerville We encountered two beautiful Scyliorhinus stellaris which were recorded & released 🤩 Great survey! @thembauk @MBAEcology @SNTechUK
