Been humbled by how far the @getAlby team has gone testing Ark and putting our software through its paces. Already got a lot of great feedback that's going into making our implementation even better.
What a productive week! We just hit another milestone in testing new backends for Alby Hub! First successful SEND & RECEIVE using Ark on Signet, powered by @2ndbtc 🎉 Big things coming in next week’s release — stay tuned! ⚡️

In preparation for @PlebFi Miami I did a quick primer on Metaprotocols at @socraticainfo Waterloo Sunday working session. The data is stored on-chain in the OP_RETURN, then the Alkanes indexer reads and interprets it. @oylwallet

Terminology is hard. Spark is not "self-custody". We don't have a word for the model it has. With our Ark product, we thought a lot about terminology. Ark balances are fully self-custodial. Arkoor transfers (the instant ones) are not, but eventually your balance will be. 🧵1/4
It’s really embarrassing to call this “self-custody” when it fully trusts the operator to not steal your money. Words mean things, and self-custodial communicates to users that no third party can do something which results in their money being stolen. This isn’t that.
Historic 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 wow even hearing the planet money host voices takes me back
I saw the Planet Money hit piece on the bitcoin conference, and was reminded that they once interviewed me at PorcFest: npr.org/sections/money…
Lightning is awesome, but every user on Lightning needs at least one UTXO. If everyone in the world wanted to onboard, there's not enough bitcoin blockspace to support them. Fortunately, Ark scales UTXOs, not just payments!
We have over 55 guests confirmed for tomorrow night in Waterloo. A historic community gathering awaits.

I'm a hackathon mentor here today at @SpurHacks, hosted at RIM Park in Waterloo. (BlackBerry offices HQ) @MLHacks

Looking for a unique souvenir from @BTCPrague? We're giving away the whiteboard we used for our off-site this week! Come and get it at the @mempool stand!
