Which hardware device manufacturers are stepping up? Looking at @Trezor @BitBoxSwiss @BlockstreamJade @COLDCARDwallet ?
Quick update on the software wallet side, *two* wallets have already stepped up and merged code that will claim the bounty! Given it was in less than ten days I'll be paying both of them out. That still leaves the bounty for hardware wallets, however. If you're a hardware…
BIP 353. Huge win for Bitcoin UX, so simple you can knock it out over your lunch break.
Glad to say that @cakewallet is one of these 😉 @konstiullrich and @mrcyjanex worked together to knock out the bulk of this over a lunch break 😎

BIP 353 is a huge leap forward in security and UX for common payments from hardware wallets. Yet, sadly, it’s stuck in a three-way chicken-and-egg problem between the software wallets that people use, the hardware wallet firmware, and recipients. No one wants to do the work to…
Kangaroo court, this.
Wait. Wait. Wait. Are you seriously telling me that a LIFO heuristic has been used to trace funds on a public blockchain? 😳 x.com/innercitypress…

It's Happening!
Good news: The Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act language is in the Senate Market Structure draft. This will protect open source devs from unfit licensure requirements. Getting it into the bills has been Coin Center's top priority in Congress.
bitcoin was built to be used: open, decentralized, resilient. current tax rules make buying a coffee a taxable event. we wrote a little something - it’s time to make bitcoin everyday money. block.xyz/inside/policie…
Even if you're not really into Bitcoin or anything, you might still find the book to be fascinating, as there's tons in there about how group dynamics form and then harden over time in the presence of conflict. Just the sociology of it is worth studying. amazon.com/dp/B08Z18GWD6/…
we all need to push on the de minimis tax exemption for bitcoin payments... bitcoin is already clearly a better form of gold. the next step is truly getting to the “peer-to-peer electronic cash system” state that’s not going to happen if folks have to pay cap gains on a latte
With the GENIUS Act being signed into law today, the CLARITY Act is the next major piece of crypto legislation on the docket. I sat down with @TheBlueMatt to discuss how CLARITY protects developers of non-custodial Bitcoin and crypto tech and why it’s essential that it passes.
The CLARITY Act (HR 3633) passes with 216-0 republican votes and 78-134 democratic votes (currently)! The first step towards protecting developers and your right to use good wallets is complete. Next up, the senate!

Hell yea. I’d you’re a hardware wallet or hardware-wallet-supporting software wallet no better time to dig into BIP 353!
.@HRF is happy to match this bounty for $1000. Freedom Go Up!
Why adopt Stratum V2? 🚄Super-efficient (70% less bandwidth) 🔐Secure (no hashrate stealing) 💵More profitable ⛏️Miners select tx & run nodes 💰Payout method agnostic 🔙Firmware upgrade not necessary 📔Well-defined specification 🫂Maintained by an independent FOSS community
Last week I went over the nuances of Trustodial systems in categorizing them. Today I wrote a follow up article looking at the dynamics of on-chain fees and how they affect someone's ability to self custody. Find the article below:
