Mark Carney: 20 days as Liberal Leader Pierre Poilievre: 931 days as Conservative Leader
We have to diversify our trade partnerships.
We have to diversify our trade partnerships and build stronger trading relationships within our own country. To do that, we’ll invest big in the infrastructure that gets Canadian goods to market — by air, rail, road, and sea.
Canada is a trading nation. That doesn’t happen without Canadian workers. In this time of crisis, we will protect our workers, fight U.S. tariffs, and build a stronger Canadian economy.
After I spoke with President Trump this morning, Minister LeBlanc and I discussed the current trade crisis with the premiers. We are all focused on fighting U.S. tariffs, protecting Canadian workers, and building one strong Canadian economy.
Our response to the U.S. tariffs is to fight, protect, and to build. That means building the infrastructure to help diversify our trade partners, create good jobs, and grow our economy.
