Global trade will grow by 1.6% this year, down from 3.3% in 2024, in part due to the current macroeconomic climate. At #G20, I emphasized that we need to see trade as an engine of growth & poverty reduction & we need a rules-based multilateral trade system w/ WTO at the centre.

In South Africa to represent @UN at the #G20SouthAfrica Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting. This is a critical moment to advance decisive actions on finance, debt, resilient economies, tax & climate finance. The world needs global cooperation & #G20 leadership.
