🚨Yesterday we launched our latest research in Parliament which reveals the root causes of worsening youth mental health, in front of a packed room of parliamentarians, young people, and other key stakeholders across the health and youth sectors.
Pleased to join breakfast with Sir Charlie Mayfield & @lucianaberger discussing role hospitality can play in Keep Britain Working Review & supported pathways into work for young people with mental health conditions - something I focused on as Disability Access Ambassador
A Muslim & a Jew walk into a festival… Not doing my show on @TimesRadio as am currently busy in the middle of a large field having a great time with @lucianaberger. Fair to say our collective tent skills need some work #Glastonbury2025

I was in Newport earlier today for the @rcpsych Congress. The College has profound concerns about the role of psychiatrists on the #AssistedDying panels. It is absurd that they weren’t allowed the opportunity to give evidence to the Bill Committee.
The Terminally Ill Adults Bill Committee has just voted 14 to 8 against calling oral evidence from the Royal College of Psychiatrists I have no words
Baroness @lucianaberger addressed some of the most significant issues facing mental health policy, including reform of the Mental Health Act, Assisted Dying legislation and mental health inequalities, during her keynote speech this morning.
Very powerful speech from @ThurrockJen and the challenges of the lack of safeguards in the #AssistedDyingBill to protect vulnerable people and the disabled. An important call to MPs - this is not about the principal of assisted dying but the legislation in front of them.
If the Assisted Dying Bill passes we will scrutinise it seriously. But elected MPs should be clear that as it is a PMB, amdmts are likely to be limited. MPs MUST be satisfied that the Bill in front of them on Friday is fit for purpose - if they are not, they should not pass it.
'This is a deeply flawed bill' MPs are preparing to vote on the assisted dying bill tomorrow. Baroness Berger tells @SophyRidgeSky: 'MPs don't even know what the final legislation is going to be when they vote' #PoliticsHub

Five amazing women and me. Delicious lunch as we set the world to rights and celebrated four birthdays. @RachelRileyRR @TracyAnnO @KarenPollock100 @LDNVictimsComm @lucianaberger
The Assisted Dying Bill is not progressive. As I argue in the @DailyMirror, the cracks of inequality will become chasms in a world where an assisted death hangs over the most vulnerable - and they will fall through. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…
We thank Baroness @lucianaberger for raising our newly published 2024 Annual Data & Insights Report during topical questions in the House of Lords: “The IWF says that under-18s are now facing a ‘crisis’ of sexual exploitation and risk online.” AI-generated child sexual abuse…

Today is the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Today, we remember the tens of thousands of Jews who were murdered there and all who survived against all odds, as well as the brave members of the British Armed Forces who liberated the camp.
Thank you to @lucianaberger @Dalwahabi @CllrWRandall @LucyRigby and everyone who supported our @WNLabourGroup dinner last night. What a night at @DelapreAbbey!
Thank you @ayeshahazarika 🙏🏼❤️
Looking forward to my brilliant friend @lucianaberger making her maiden speech in the Lords very soon & officially welcoming her afterwards when I will speak in the Employment Rights Bill.
Great to be back at Downing Street tonight with Labour peers - especially fellow @LabourLordsUK newbie and @JewishLabour alumna @lucianaberger. Good to speak to the PM about all the challenges the country faces, domestic and international.
