Going to the cinema is so good for my mental health. It takes me out of my head and can alter my mood and just reminds me that life is wonderful, because what can be better than sitting in the dark watching an amazing film on a beautiful big screen? 🥰
I’m spending tonight at @CentralPictureH watching Hot Milk. I used to run a book club years ago and we read the book and I didn’t like it and didn’t finish it (oops - although I like Deborah Levy’s autobiographical books). Hoping I’ll enjoy the film!

I’m listening to the #Hottest100AustralianSongs on @triplej and the nostalgia is massive 🥰 Here’s what I voted for, which I agonised over for some time! Love Australian music ❤️

I’m spending tonight at @CentralPictureH for a preview screening of Materialists 😄 Looking forward to this!

I think one of the most helpful things I’ve read in recent years is: “Stop comparing yourself to people with support systems.” Of course you’re gonna feel behind if you’re figuring life out on your own. If I ever achieve anything great I’m gonna do a speech like Snoop Dogg lol
I had a great time at the UK premiere of The Naked Gun 🤩 A very cool Empire VIP event with an introduction with Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson and producer Erica Huggins. The film was really fun too 😄 Thanks @empiremagazine!

I’m very excited to be going to the UK premiere of The Naked Gun! Thanks to Empire VIP and @empiremagazine 😄 I’m a big fan of the original films so I hope this is good!

My son got the school award for the end of primary school, which they give to two outstanding students for not just the year, but their whole time in primary school. I’m so incredibly proud of him ❤️
I’m spending tonight at @ThePCCLondon watching Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World with @MrRobValentine! Really excited to see it at the cinema again 😄

I’m finally seeing Superman at @vuecinemas with the kids 😄 It’s a perfect rainy day for the cinema.

Was meant to take the kids to see Superman tonight (I was very excited!) but the big kid hurt his wrist playing basketball so he’s off to A&E with his dad! Hope it’s not broken! Superman will have to wait 😢
I’m not buying cinema tickets a year in advance, it’s not a “one night only” event like a concert, I assume there will be more than one screening and I’ll sort it out at the time like bfr

We got my son a phone for his 11th birthday. I noticed yesterday his WhatsApp profile pic was just the word “NO”. Today it’s “Don’t bother asking the answer is still NO”. I’m scared to ask 😂
For someone who loves movies so much this is pretty weird, but when I was a little kid in New Zealand (before Oz) we were only allowed videos from the video shop as a special treat on our birthday, so I grew up thinking renting videos was REALLY expensive and a big deal

I want to know (without spoilers, including “it was so sad”, which will make me think someone will die!) if anyone enjoyed this in the end? I’ve read all her other books, but I’m finding her writing style in this one harder to engage with.

Had a great time last night at the opening gala of @LondonAustFilm Festival at @FinsburyParkPH watching Kid Snow with a Q&A with Billy Howle. Had a really lovely chat with Billy, who is one of the nicest actors I’ve met. Also picked up some Aussie sweets 🥰
