Going by some comments, some don't understand just how vulnerable most undersea infrastructure is. #Baltic Connector taken out by a bandy old container ship simply dragging anchor. €40m worth of damage & no gas for 5 months. Same risk with ship "repair" vessel & subsea cables.
Large increase in #Russian "shadow ships" making use of #Ireland's sparsely monitored EEZ. I saw this risk building, I was invited onto national radio 2 yrs ago & I explained it. Russia will exploit weakness anywhere it sees them in Northern Europe. rte.ie/radio/radio1/c…
Wrote this with Zack Polanski. Shot it at dawn on Seven Sisters. The ‘boats’ narrative has taken hold of this country. This film fights back. August 1st. Vote bold.

So many like him. Fucking ghouls.
Every single time someone famous dies.
There is something off when an Irish MEP in the safe western fringes of Europe & in a safe country questions Ukraine’s accession to EU-Ukraine is not joining anytime soon so why this focus? Undermining Ukraine’s European future
Sad but not surprising. I’ve questioned Ukraine’s preparedness to join the EU and whether lessons would be learned from 2007. Some want it join merely because they hate Russia. Not a good enough reason to bring more organised crime and corruption into EU apnews.com/article/ukrain…
We have a government refusing doctors’ pay rise, causing NHS strikes. A Labour govt that cut aid to starving Palestinians who it is selling weaponry to Israel to kill. A Labour govt that week-in week-out, accuses foreigners of destroying our country, to justify it all. #r4today
This is very good

Very decent of Lisa Fallon to credit the RTÉ researcher by name while bringing up the piece of info he had fed the panel about Michelle Agyemang’s surname. It’s nice when pundits do that. Those people behind the scenes — often young people — put in a shift.
Would like to have seen the penalty incident a few more times. Looked liked six of one, etc. Both players holding. That said, the attacker is trying to move into an offensive position and the defender is wrong side, so maybe it was the correct call?
Why would anyone risk life and limb, leaving their families and homes, to travel to a country where they are unlikely to be especially welcomed then actively commit crimes - with a focus on women and children - that would see them jailed or deported?
Not very clever Ben hasn’t realised the impact low wages have. Perhaps immigrants are more desperate for work? Right-wing idiots invariably miss the point because 1) they’re dumb 2) they only see colour 3) they only hear foreign languages 4) they believe ‘great replacement’ guff
Great game in Croker. Irish teams, Irish crowd, Irish anthem. But stewarding? All foreign. Not a one off. Every town I visit now has large numbers of foreign men, and every eviction I see is carried out by foreign security. Cork lost. One of the wokest, looniest liberal…
Just in case you are off on your holidays and fancy a read. How about 'Shattered Dreams, Sliding Doors' - the story of Ireland's heartbreaking 1982 World Cup Qualifying campaign from me and @PitchPublishing ? pitchpublishing.co.uk/shop/shattered…
Very nice to see my book 'Shattered Dreams, Sliding Doors - The Republic of Ireland's 1982 World Cup Qualifying Campaign' (published by @PitchPublishing) placed at number 2 in the @irishexaminer's sports books highlights of 2025 so far! irishexaminer.com/lifestyle/arts…
Nigel Farage on UK crime: how do his statements stack up? theguardian.com/politics/2025/…
No real interest in hurling, but from a sporting perspective, Cork’s collapse is fascinating. What are the most memorable collapses in association football you can recall? I guess Milan yielding a 3-goal league in 2005 in the Champions League final is one.
