Thank you to Jenny Maguire for speaking about how the voices of sex workers in Ireland will be lost when SWAI closes at the end of the year. "Sex workers are often migrants. They are often trans." m.independent.ie/opinion/commen…
Another family torn apart by violence up north. Three lives cut short and for what?
PSA: If you only stand with victims of abuse when they’re women, and stand with the perpetrator when the victims of abuse are men, you’re no feminist.
We’re cracking down on migrants working illegally as food delivery riders. We'll share asylum accommodation locations with Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats so they can take action if riders are staying there. We will do what it takes to ensure fairness for British people.

It shouldn't take Jamie having to write a 5 tweet thread for people to see that the comments made were inappropriate. I hope there is reflection on attitudes within the party on a broad level in response, but also on a personal level.
🧵 As the victim of this man’s abuse, I am disgusted to see comments from my fellow party member, Karen Sugrue, defending him and his actions and praising his ‘innocence’. 1/5
I do NOT deplore the violence on both sides. I support the armed struggle for liberation waged by a people whose choice is to fight or be disposed and exterminated.
No charges doesn't mean not guilty, just means the system is stacked against victims. Never forget that, even if it's your mates
Can't believe I'm a few weeks out from my entrance exams and my therapist has chosen NOW to take leave without a replacement available
Channelling what legitimacy anti-antisemitism has left for the purpose of smearing Palestinians, shoring up legitimacy for fascist crackdowns, and (do we hear ourselves?) cancelling rap concerts is only ever gonna a backfire
Now that said we *do* need to deal with antisemitism which I'm really sorry *is* bad and getting worse but the only way that's gonna happen is as part of a broader aligned anti racist movement
Because they are! Because the demand for a cessation of protest *just in case* it harms jews is as ridiculous as the demand Palestinians be kept in a purgatory existence *just in case* diaspora jews need to all suddenly flee into their homes
If the singular demand Irish people hear in the wake of antisemitic violence is that they must cease their protests of genocide on the small chance it served as incitement they will rightly reject such demands as untenable
