Today, there are almost 3,500 additional people living in homelessness than this time two years ago. We will look back on these figures with shame in years to come. Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil must pull every lever to ensure everyone has a safe and secure roof over their head.

Government should introduce a weight based tax for SUVs. If you can afford 80-100k for an Audi Q7 PHEV or similar, you should not be able to tax such an unnecessarily big and dangerous car for €170. A Toyota Corolla hybrid costs €190 to tax. Where’s the fairness in that?

Having one person living in homelessness is one person too many. We are urging Government to take real action for people on the housing crisis. Too many have been left behind by the failed policies of Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil - @ivanabacik

There is literally no detail in this NDP. Very hard to evaluate it on that basis. Great that we have lots of new money to spend; but we already knew that. It’s more like a “National Vague Outline” than a National Developmental Plan!

€2bn for Metrolink is hardly a vote of confidence that the project will be substantively progressed in this decade. It’s supposed to take 6 years & be operational in early 2030’s. €2bn is only 8%- 16% of the estimated total cost. #Metrolink
