I’m also not sure the American economy is sufficiently deregulated yet to allow for reindustrialization …you can put tariffs on others but building those factories in USA is still often illegal, not to speak of the female- and credential-centric labor practices….
Actually America should have more than 50% internal tariffs on its own soy and corn as well as forbid or highly tax entire classes of chemicals in agriculture rather than penalize Japan or Europe for refusing them. And should discount coffee, cacao etc for its citizens…
