Announcing the BioML Challenge 2024: Bits to Binders! In this 5-week competition, teams will use AI methods to design protein binders that bind to a target antigen and activate an immune response from its associated CAR-T cell. Real-world scenario. With wet lab validation.

🚨 Excited to share the first major project of my PhD: BAGEL, a modular, model-agnostic, fully customizable Python framework for programmable protein design 🧬🥯 Code (BAGEL) 💻: github.com/softnanolab/ba… Code (boileroom) ⚙️: github.com/softnanolab/bo… Preprint 📜:…
Exciting stuff! Another great tournament coming out of Align. Very curious to see where we stand with AI enzyme design at this point. Would be crazy to see if anyone submits proteins very far from wild type in terms of structure, sequence, and maybe even active site??
1/4 🚀 Announcing the 2025 Protein Engineering Tournament. This year’s challenge: design PETase enzymes, which degrade the type of plastic in bottles. Can AI-guided protein design help solve the climate crisis? Let’s find out! ⬇️ #AIforBiology #ClimateTech #ProteinEngineering…
I wish AI models would ask me clarifying questions before trying to solve complicated tasks. Right now I have to adopt this strange behavior of appending my prompt with answers to the questions it should have asked Anyone feel similarly or know of any solutions here?
