Excuse me for a minute while I take time to process being named the 2023 @CollSportsComm Mary Jo Haverbeck Trailblazer Award winner. This is definitely the biggest professional honor of my life. I am speechless for once in my life. To God be the Glory. collegesportscommunicators.com/news/2023/2/21…
Good morning & happy Monday. Some blessings arrive loud. Others whisper. But all of them begin with gratitude. Keep watering your spirit—what’s meant for you is already growing beneath the surface. When you lead with thanks & focus on helping others, the blessings multiply.
Sports leagues should learn from WWE's YouTube channel. WWE is constantly uploading timely old matches and showing old match marathons live on YT. Finding full broadcasts of old sports games is a lot harder than it should be. You have these massive libraries. Use them!
For those worried about starting late to your goals and dreams. Time doesn't matter. Everybody's clock is different. Consider Ichiro got his first MLB hit at 27 years old. After 3,089 hits, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. So keep grinding and working. It will pay off.
I would've loved to see all the think pieces on the NBA in the early 80s when it was still gaining traction, losing money & televised NBA championship games on tape delay. Every good thing takes time. Folks want stuff yesterday and it's annoying. Patience is in short supply.
In 2001 Ichiro Suzuki captured the American League Rookie of the Year, Batting title, Silver Slugger, Gold Glove, and MVP
CC Sabathia in an amazing HOF speech, spoke of the work he's doing to bring more black players into baseball: "I don't want to be the last member of the Black Aces. And I don't want to be the final Black pitcher standing here giving a Hall of Fame speech."
Phillies going to the see the White Sox this week….Wouldn’t be mad if we take Robert Jr. back to Philly with us.
Incredible mindset from Ichiro Every ballplayer needs to hear this
✨ Deeply honored to be inducted as an Honorary Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated💕💚 Sisterhood and service have always been very important to me, so to stand alongside a long line of leaders committed to serving and uplifting is truly an honor beyond words.…
Ryne Sandberg was a prospect who prospected.
“The Cubs also received utility infielder Ryne Sandberg…”

Today in 1985, you were able to save this cassette by using a Bic pen with the acuity of a neurosurgeon.
These five legacies are now cemented in baseball lore. Celebrate the Class of 2025 with the official Induction Ceremony program: ow.ly/g6ZU50WvJkp
A healthy Shakira Austin is a certified problem for opponents. Glad she’s been able to have this type of year and impact.
Wish Dave Parker and Richie Allen were alive to witness today. Long overdue for both legends. They changed the game. “The Cobra” one of the best nicknames ever.
I always felt Ichiro was getting on base whenever he came to bat. I was always surprised when he made an out. Ichiro was special and definitely more than deserving.
