I am a film-obsessed nerd who has been writing movie reviews since 2005. Check here and my FB and IG pages for the latest film/tv news and my website below!
It is my opinion that posting ones’ beliefs about politics, religion, and aardvarks on social media has never changed anyone’s mind, so you won’t find that from this account. What’s your favorite movie?
I was so excited to see “Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” once it came out on DVD that I re-read a tie-in release of the 1st 3 books combined together so many times that the spine was almost gone at the bottom by the time I saw the film.
share a piece of literature lore about yourself
Yep. Full seasons, character arcs and relationships that had time to breathe, relatable drama that sometimes went into the absurd, and one of the best theme songs for one of these. We never knew how good we had it until it was gone.
This show was generational in its early seasons, and they produced over 20 episodes a season, year after year. None of this wait 3 years for 8 episodes bullshit
We really need to re-learn how to discuss hot celebrities. Pedro Pascal, Sydney Sweeney, Ana De Armas, etc. all have striking looks and admiring them is fine, but the bizarre thirst and/or disgust I’ve seen for them because of their looks is disheartening. They’re people too.
Kudos to “Legally Blonde 2” screenwriter Kate Kondell for having the opening scene humorously recount the original film so the sequel wouldn’t alienate newcomers. I saw 2 many times before 1 and enjoyed the sequel all on its own.

Horror people: Please get out there and see the new “I Know What You Did Last Summer”. It’s fun, it’s respectful to the original 2 films, but has a vibe all its own. Horror movies that leave a smile on my face at their end are rare today, but this did. I want that sequel😈
more people gotta see the movie go see the movie or no sequel daddy sony needs more people to go see it please go see it
If “Barbie 2” ever happens and they make another gag about a movie men are obsessed with online, it should be something like, “And Then, he gave me surprisingly thought-out dissertations on some guy named Denis Villeneuve and The Dark Knight”.
“My Girl” is one of those movies I saw part of on TV before my attention span was long enough to care, so I don’t know what’s in it that makes it seemingly a huge tearjerker for my and past generations. It’s pretty easy to get tears out of me, so I’ll have to check it out fully.
Ah, Scott looking to relive some possible childhood trauma I see. 🐝 All in the name of podcast prep!
Not a spoiler as it’s said Sue is pregnant in the trailer, but apparently some are wigging out at a CGI baby appearing in the new “Fantastic Four”. Meanwhile, I believed CGI baby Renesme in “Twilight: Breaking Dawn” back in 2012:

My favorite film from each phase of the MCU: Phase 1: “Iron Man” Phase 2: “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” Phase 3: “Doctor Strange” Phase 4: “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” or “Doctor Strange in the MOM” Phase 5: “GOTG 3” What are your favorite films from each phase?
Thanks to @kirkneverdied, I can skip “Happy Gilmore 2”. The original’s a classic, but as with most comedy sequels, the idea of it sounds completely out of step with what made the original fun.
“Cinderella III: A Twist In Time” easily has my favorite story out of the direct-to-video Disney sequels. The animation’s good, most of the verbal and slapstick gags work, and I like its balance of goofy and serious. I hope everyone who worked on this is proud of it.
Was anyone else reminded of “Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie” while watching “Jurassic World Rebirth”? There were a few sequences in it that felt like levels in that game to me in the best way.
Also, I love that the movie uses the fan service characters to advance Stephen’s arc of realizing his own ego, then skewers them all to death. The best way to service me as a fan is to keep me on my toes by throwing curveballs like that.
Yeahhhh I’m in the same boat here. Raimi’s Spider-Man films made me tje comic book movie fan I am today and I Adore how his distinctly campy-crazy-yet-sincere style shows from start to finish. When heroes and villains feel like flawed, relatable people to me,you’ve won.

MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS will always be top-tier MCU for me, because 1) it's unapologetically RAIMI 2) it uses the multiverse as the backbone of a story about ACCEPTANCE and not just lazy-ass fan service 3) parts of it make nerds so inexplicably angry, which makes me love it more
The Lois-Clark relationship is one of my favorite elements of “Superman”. While the story keeps them apart for long stretches, we still see that they love each other deeply and aren’t afraid to challenge one-another on their positions.

All of this. When Pa Kent asked Lois, “Is our boy gonna be okay?” in the scene before, it was one of the moments where I cried. This scene following it perfectly communicated their loving father-son bond and that the Kents are his “real” parents. They raised him
The scene was short, but I loved how James Gunn handled the Kents. This scene is when the movie completely won me.
