New York increased its federal Medicaid take by 21% last year, but limiting next year's increase to about 3% "rips away health care" according to this lying nutjob governor.
This is the same Mike Lawler who caved to Trump the minute he asked to rip away New Yorkers’ health care. Of course he doesn’t have the spine to face me.

Big night for 45-year olds.
45-year-old Rich Hill records his first strikeout of the season! 💪 (via @MLB)
Kinda think I should have paid the $177/ticket to take my daughter to see Venus tonight.
That set was unbelievable. Not just the ball striking but the movement. Absolute legend. 🇺🇸
.@AARP, any comment on this? AARP is paid billions via UnitedHealth. Better yet, seniors in Medicare, do you believe @AARP should visibly campaign for insurer-PBM accountability reforms? Is it time to walk away from AARP? @angrydadwi @A_Ciaccia @Mass_Marion @SenWarren
Mike was an AARP member—until his 22-year-old grandson died because OptumRx denied his meds. Then AARP offered Mike a “benefit” from UnitedHealthcare. He canceled. You should too. Know the truth. patientprotector. #PBMReform #truth #fyp @AARP
Is @AARP listed on here? After all, AARP is paid billions via UnitedHealth. Seen any AARP campaigns calling for major insurer-PBM reforms, like addressing Medicare overcharges, prior auth/denials, patient steering, Part D spikes, etc.? Seem right? @wendellpotter @AndyMarkMiller
Like it or not, this is what healthcare in America looks like today. Great report sponsored by @Arnold_Ventures detailing the 2,694 subsidiaries of UnitedHealth. sunlightreportinsurance.com
In a @WaysandMeansGOP hearing, @RepJasonSmith warned that MA plans inflated “a patient’s level of sickness, resulting in higher reimbursements for the plan at taxpayers expense” @WSJ has already exposed how this scheme hurts #seniors. Read more: wsj.com/health/healthc…
"I’ve urged the Justice Department to expand the investigation into @UHC to closely examine every allegation of fraud, waste, and abuse.” Thank you @RepLloydDoggett for calling out the real problem – Big Insurers. @WaysandMeansGOP youtube.com/watch?v=dnwIsA…
Medicare Advantage is a program that was created with good intentions, but taxpayers have subsidized wasteful, fraudulent, and abusive practices from insurance companies for too long. Big insurance companies have put profits before patients. @WaysandMeansGOP
.@WaysandMeansGOP is leading the fight to improve Medicare Advantage so MA plans can continue providing quality outcomes for beneficiaries and value for taxpayers. We must empower every American to be the “CEO of their own health.” buchanan.house.gov/2025/7/icymi-b…
Today @RepJasonSmith warned that Medicare Advantage plans inflated “a patient’s level of sickness, resulting in higher reimbursements for the plan at taxpayers expense.” MA is a necessary program, but we must reform it to save it. @FixMedAdvantage
Meanwhile, @AARP is paid billions via insurer-PBM-home health-physician/emergency care-surgical center-Medicare Advantage giant UnitedHealth. Seen any visible @AARP insurer accountability campaigns (ex: Part D, PBM Rx, overcharges)? Wonder why? @kerpen @Mass_Marion @MikeCrapo
The average US family health insurance premium has increased from $6,000 in 2000 to over $25,000 in 2024. That’s a 297% increase, more than triple overall inflation. The biggest beneficiaries of this massive increase in costs: health insurance companies.
Increasingly, via social media like this (2.6m views+) highlighting health provider/patient interactions w/UnitedHealth, @AARP’s multi-billion financial partner. @AARPadvocates, bad look when AARP is paid billions via @UHC and AARP sits largely silent on their business practices!
How do you stay informed about what's going on in your community?

Pepsi slipped behind Sprite to become the #4 soft drink brand by case sales.

If Medicaid were a drug, the FDA wouldn’t approve it—and could punish its salesmen with up to a year in prison for claiming it saves lives. My latest Substack post springs from a exchange between @Brian_Blase, @CitizenCohn, @AngelaWyse, others, and me. (Link below.)
