Radical Liberal drug experiments and soft-on-crime policies have failed #Nanaimo. This chaos and disorder has to stop. I'm grateful for local, provincial and national leaders who will work in partnership with me and bring the change Nanaimo deserves. nationalpost.com/opinion/jamie-…
The Minister of Transport said she’s “dismayed that BC Ferries would select a Chinese state-owned shipyard to build new ferries”. Minister for the CIB said they didn’t know they were shipping jobs to China with a $1Billion loan. BC Ferries says they knew all along. Who’s lying?
CTV promises a story about the Longest Ballot Committee in Battle River–Crowfoot and the story doesn't even mention the Longest Ballot Committee... just a platform for two independents running against Poilievre to vent @MarekTkach @omarsachedina @dckurek @PierrePoilievre
For everyone yesterday who said that Poilievre was taking an extreme position by calling out the proposed sentence lengths for Lich and Baber, here's the take from the lawyer who organized the lawsuit against the convoy and has been a vocal Conservative critic. Hardly extreme:
Lich and Barber sentencing will take place this week. There’s no question it was serious, and they have spent three years showing the opposite of remorse for what they did to the people of Ottawa, but an 8 year sentence is ridiculous. IMO no custody for Lich; 6 months for Barber.
Here's a trenchant comparison to the Lich case: Woman pleads guilty to a terrorism charge, gets one (1) day in jail. lapresse.ca/actualites/jus…
The handwringing from progressives ignores the simple fact that Pierre is right & Canadians know it. We all want to see prosecutors seek 7+ yr sentences for sex crimes, violent assaults etc. But those sentences are meted out in months or even days, not years. Some examples: 1/5
Let’s get this straight: while rampant violent offenders are released hours after their most recent charges & antisemitic rioters vandalize businesses, terrorize daycares & block traffic without consequences, the Crown wants 7 years prison time for the charge of mischief for Lich…

No journalist - mainstream, independent or otherwise should ever be stalked, intimidated or harassed. This alleged behavior is vile and authoritarian. I hope the perpetrators are caught and justice is served. theglobeandmail.com/canada/article…
On this day in 1871, British Columbia joined Canada. The province was promised a transcontinental railway by the federal government. It took until 1885 for the railroad to be built and the delay nearly led to the secession of the province from the rest of Canada.
I have no issues with wealthy leaders. But… I would advise anyone who wants to be PM or Premier to convert all their assets into cash and invest that cash in an index fund or bonds. If you want the job, suck it up and cash out. You can cash in when you leave.
At the G7, the Prime Minister told Canadians he would have a trade deal within 30 days; today, July 16th. July 16th then became July 21st. July 21st then became August 1st. The Prime Minister needs to be honest and transparent with Canadians about where we are with a deal.
Expect the Liberals to try to blame Canadian inflation on the Americans. Pierre is right - inflation is still due to out of control Liberal spending, including massive debt servicing costs after years of Liberal largesse. Watch all of this 👇🏻
If you look under the hood, today’s inflation numbers are bad news. The direct result of Carney’s massive overspending that we must get under control.
The Prime Minister is now conceding that American tariffs on Canada will be part of an eventual deal. Another unilateral concession from a man who said he would never back down to the U.S. President.

Straightforward and a good interview by @PierrePoilievre. Serious and focused.
After another unjustified tariff attack on Canadians, workers and industries, Conservatives are offering to recall the Trade Committee to help secure the best deal for Canada
The latest tariff threats are another unjustified attack on Canada’s economy. Canada has long been a reliable partner and trusted friend to the United States. These tariffs will damage both our countries. All Canadians must come together to defend our economy. Conservatives…
Here's what’s conveniently left out of posts like this: He didn’t vote against those ideas—he voted against the bloated, broken way the Liberals packaged them. All of those programs came with no cost controls, vague delivery timelines, and almost no accountability. Many were…
Pierre Poilievre proudly voted against affordable housing initiatives, child care, dental care, pharma care and the school lunch prog because according to him, it's govt waste. Meanwhile he billed taxpayers $126899.83 in travel expense (3 months), let that sink in for a moment.
MP Tamara Jansen’s The Right to Recover Act will save countless lives. It says that mental illness is not sufficient grounds for Medical Assistance in Dying. Thanks to MP @AndrewLawton for courageously sharing his story. Our loved ones suffering with their mental health deserve…
I had the pleasure of speaking at a press conference this morning alongside MP Tamara Jansen on her private member’s bill C-218, the Right to Recover Act. I was proud to co-sponsor this bill, which will stop the coming expansion of assisted dying to people with mental illness.
