Happy Monday! I'm excited to share that I'm officially part of the team at @DEADLINE. I'll be working as a TV Reporter, covering all things happening on the small screen. If you need me, I'm at [email protected].
sad state of affairs when the most talked about moments of the FANTASTIC 4 press junket so far are: - ebon's "what's up influencers" - asking vanessa about her "snatched, cunty, fierceness face" - pedro dodging his millionth daddy-related question
I would love if the discourse about this press run encourages studios to work more amicably with traditional outlets for coverage but alas I do not think it will
Jesus Christ, this entire #FantasticFour junket is going to be exhausting, isn’t it?
FWIW: Colbert has the highest late-night network ratings & is the only show in the slot to grow this quarter, even if only slightly. Linear ratings are on a steep decline everywhere. But it’s all relative. Colbert is in first place well ahead of ABC (Kimmel) & NBC (Fallon).
Donald Trump says he’s happy Stephen Colbert’s late night show is being cancelled: “His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next.”
The amount of people who think publications the scope of the Wall Street Journal just put explosive stuff out about a public figure without well established authentication procedures and running it through a team of lawyers knows literally nothing about journalism.
There are also so many great movies that are iconic and influential but are not "good" or faithful adaptations of the source material — Jaws, The Shining, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Blade Runner, Jurassic Park, The Princess Bride — and a lot of bad ones that are faithful!
I love comparing the book to the movie! i think it’s interesting! but the movie is what it is, and if you can’t engage with it you aren’t really saying anything. you have to be able to say what the movie is and approach it on its own terms. or you’re not actually critiquing it!
I saw a dumb tweet and I didn't engage so I am treating myself today 🙂
Guys, I’m sorry, but the show has been off the air for 5 years. It’s time to move on. deadline.com/2025/07/nielse…
Natasha Rothwell, 3-time emmy nominee, reacts to her latest nod with a shout out to #LoveIslandUSA: “First #Nicolandria and now this?!?! My cup runneth over. I am overjoyed, overwhelmed and over the fucking moon. What an honor to be nominated alongside such incredible women..."
I'm just going to pretend that Industry got an Emmy nomination 🥲
Really don't get how this show is still so overlooked. Season 3 was some of the best TV I've seen in years.
positively, absolutely, without a doubt the biggest emmy outrage this year

It is genuinely alarming that brands now have to preemptively ask "fans" not to dox people or levy hate speech against cast/crew/other viewers because people can't keep it respectful on social media.
PSA for the Summer community 🚨
a new justin bieber album was simply not on my 2025 bingo card but i'm embracing it
trying to do this radical new thing called "reading the books that I already own in my house"
I am so nervous lol

We didn’t give this film the flowers it deserved and that’s a real shame
To add to this: When I say "engage" with film, I mean ask yourself WHY you like/dislike the films that you do. When you can articulate your own taste, a well-written review can tell you a lot about whether you might like to see something without a letter grade or a thumbs up.
Film criticism, when done well, is supposed to make you think deeper about a film and engage with it in more complex ways. It is not really meant to decide for the entire population whether or not they should see something. You all have agency. You get to decide that yourself.
